In the last decade,cooperation between Russia and China has reached unprecedented heights;agreements are being concluded annually on cooperation not only at the level of two states,but also between enterprises in various industries.In turn,for the enterprises of the Far East of Russia,cooperation with China has always been at the forefront,especially in the fishery industry.The Far East is one of the most important fishery areas of Russia,which has direct access to the fish stocks of the seas and rivers.The fishery industry is one of the key in the economy of the Far East of Russia;it is a diversified complex,which consists of:fishery and seafood production;aquaculture;fish and seafood processing;trade in fish products.In the coastal areas of the Far East of Russia,where 75%of the industrial potential of industries is concentrated,the fishery industry is a city-forming industry,and also has important social and geopolitical significance.The fishery industry is traditionally a key for the development of the Far East of Russia and accounts for 15-17%of the total Russian industrial output,while this indicator is much higher for the Kamchatka Region(50-60%).More than 150 thousand people work in the fishery industry(about 40%of the total number working in the Russian fishery industry).The Far East of Russia accounts for 65%of the total Russian catch.Annually,enterprises of the Far East of Russia export more than 1 million tons of fish products,and the largest consumers,along with China,are Japan,South Korea and other APR countries.According to the report of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations,the volume of production of the fisheries sector(fishery and aquaculture)by 2025 will increase by 17%to 232 million tons(in 2018-199 million tons).91%of fish products produced will be consumed for food.In the medium term,Asia will remain the leader in world production-89%of the world total in 2025,62%of which is China.By 2025,exports of fish products are projected to grow by 18.4%in the Russian Federation.For the fish industry of the Far East of Russia,China remains the main consumer of fish.China accounts most of all exports of fish 1/3 of the products of the Far East of Russia.Despite the close cooperation of the enterprises of the two countries,there are a number of problems that hinder effective cooperation.The aim of the work is-on the basis of statistical and sectoral data to analyze the fisheries industries of the Far East of Russia and China,also cooperation in this area,to assess the current dynamics in key areas of the industry.The correct analysis and understanding of the existing problems will allow businessmen and state structures to more effectively carry out commercial activities in the bilateral cooperation between Russia and China.
