Cancer is one of the most common diseases in old dogs, and the mortality rate is high, which has seriously threatened the life and health of dogs. Therefore, the study of cancer epidemiology, diagnostic methods, clinical techniques and preventive measures in pet clinic can provide effective reference for rapid clinical diagnosis.Based on the investigation of 247 cases of animals suffering from cancer in five major animal hospitals in Beijing, through epidemiological analysis, clinical examination, laboratory examination and classification and summary of the characteristics of cancer incidence,To explore the relationship between the occurrence of cancer and the age, sex, breed, diet and location of the disease, and to explore the surgical methods and prognosis through surgical treatment.Among 247 diseased animals, the incidence of breast and skin tumors was the highest,45.7% and 35.2% respectively.A total of 16 breeds of dogs were collected. The highest incidence of hybrids,VIP dogs,Jingba dogs,Bomei dogs and German shepherds were 23.1%,11.3%,9.7%,8.5% and 7.3%,respectively.The incidence of cancer in dogs increases with age.The peak period of cancer incidence in dogs is from 7 to 15 years old.The main reason is that the age of dogs is getting older and older, and the immunity of the body decreases year by year, which leads to an increase in the incidence of cancer.Sterilization and castration have a certain impact on the incidence of tumors. The incidence of tumors in dogs after sterilization and castration is much lower, which may be related to hormone secretion in animals.According to the investigation, the incidence of tumors in meat-mixed rice is the highest, accounting for 38.9%,and that in dog-food is 13.4%.Scientific feeding helps to reduce the incidence of tumors. The location and symptoms of different tumors are different.Needle aspiration cytology is commonly used to determine the benign and malignant tumors, and histopathological examination to determine the origin and development of tumors.According to the different tumour diseases of animals, different treatment schemes are formulated.Simple surgical resection of malignant tumors is easy to recur and has a high mortality rate.Postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy can significantly improve the cure rate of malignant tumors. The results showed that the incidence of breast and skin tumors was higher in dog tumors in Beijing. The occurrence of tumors was related to age, sex, breed, daily diet and other factors.Needle aspiration cytology and histopathology were the main methods for the qualitative and classification of tumors. For malignant tumors, surgical resection combined with chemotherapeutic drugs can improve the cure rate of tumors. This study hopes to provide useful reference for the clinical treatment of tumors.
