VP2 Genevariation Analysis Of Feline Parvovirus And Control Measures

At present,pet industry is developing rapidly in China.With the arrival of population aging in China,pet cats,as one of the main companion animals,have a special role and important impact on human's spiritual life.Feline parvovirus infection,also known as feline panleukopenia,is a common infectious disease with high morbidity and mortality caused by feline panleukopenia virus?FPV?.All felines are susceptible to FPV,including non-domestic cats.Although there are some reports on genetic variations in the FPV area in China,the study on the epidemiology of feline parvovirus in a large area of China is still rare.In this study,the genetic evolution of FPV in pet cats in China was investigated,and the clinical treatment of feline plague was understood for guiding clinical practice,which is undoubtedly of great significance.In this study,anal swabs were collected from cats with clinically suspected feline panleukopenia,and detected by PCR.The whole VP2 gene was amplified in positive samples,and the genetic evolution was analyzed.In addition,key amino acids of VP2 protein were analyzed.Positive samples were randomly selected and treated with normal saline.F81 cells were inoculated after repeated freezing and thawing for 3 times.The isolated viruses were identified by observing cytopathy,detecting TCID₅₀,whole genome sequencing of VP2 in FPV and phylogenetic tree analysis.Using the isolated FPV,FPV infection experiment and clinical therapeutic trial were carried out in cats.The clinical treatment of feline parvovirus infection was summarized.The results demonstrated that cats in most of China suffered from feline panleukopenia.The genotype of VP2 in FPV belonged to G2,and the VP2 gene was conservative and almost presented no mutations.Three strains of canine parvovirus were isolated from cats.Among them,strain JL-5?accession number:MK266799?mutated into D,S and G at amino acids 426,564 and 568,respectively.There was no unified treatment for feline panleukopenia at present.When cats were treated,clinical symptoms were alleviated firstly,followed by energy supplement and antiviral therapy.In conclusion,the main genotype of VP2 in FPV in Chinese pet cats is G1,and the VP2 gene has almost no mutations.There are canine parvovirus in pet cats.The principle of treatment of feline parvovirus infection is to alleviate clinical symptoms,followed by energy supplement and antiviral therapy.This study will also help to improve the genetic evolution of feline parvovirus and achieve a comprehensive understanding of the pathogenicity and etiology of parvovirus.By summarizing and analyzing the therapeutic trial results,practical program is provided for the treatment of feline parvovirus infection.
