| The problem of energy poverty is widespread and will bring many negative effects,such as endangering the health of residents and restricting social and economic development.As the largest developing country in the world,China has a large population and faces even more severe energy poverty problems.The Haidong area of Qinghai Province is located in the western part of China,it has a high altitude,a cold climate and a relatively low economic development,the rural population is concentrated and ethnic minorities are concentrated.The problems of unreasonable energy structure and excessive dependence on traditional biomass energy are prominent,while rural areas are high-risk areas for energy poverty.Therefore,the study of rural household energy poverty in Haidong,Qinghai Province can provide an in-depth understanding of the current situation of energy poverty in rural areas in the northwest,and promote the practicable of the“Western Development Strategy”and the “Precision Poverty Alleviation Strategy”,which is of great significance to the realization of energy poverty alleviation.This paper defines energy poverty through literature review,and then describes Haidong region from the aspects of geographical environment,economic status and energy resources.Then,through questionnaires and interviews,the data on rural household energy and energy were obtained.The survey results of rural household energy poverty in Haidong area were analyzed,from the use and consumption status of energy,coal,gasoline,diesel,kerosene,straw,firewood,livestock manure,solar energy,natural gas,biogas and other energy-using structures.It also measures the energy shortage of rural households in Haidong and analyzes the energy shortage situation to understand the current situation of rural households’ energy poverty in Haidong.The study found that the use of coal,gasoline and diesel,straw,firewood,livestock manure and other traditional biomass energy in rural households is more serious,this will endanger the health of the residents and damage the ecological environment.To this end,this study proposes to eliminate rural household energy poverty from the aspects of household income,energy use awareness,development of new energy,and subsidy policies. |
