This experiment was conducted to investigate the early reproductive performance of Huanjiang mini-pigs by analyzing the indexs of its reproductive performance and plasma reproductive hormone levels. This experiment was also conducted to investigate intestinal contents of microbial community structure and intestinal contents metabolites changes at different stages and different intestinal segments of Huanjiang mini-pigs by further process of 16 s gene function prediction and the analysis of correlation between microbes and metabolites. In this study, the production performance and the steady state development of the intestinal microorganism were investigated, which lay a foundation for the study of the feeding management and the study of nutrition metabolism mechanism of intestinal microorganisms of local mini-pigs.24 primiparous Huanjiang mini-pigs with a mean body weight(BW)of about 30 kg were randomly divided into 8 pens, all pigs are raised in the same piggery. The animals were fed a diet formulated according to the recommendations of the Chinese National Feeding Standard for Swine. All pigs had ad libitum access to drinking water and were fed three times daily(about 2% of BW),respectively. The feed intake, excreta, and mental state per sow were monitored three times each day throughout the entire experimental period. The sows were weighed on the 45 th,75th and 110 th days of gestanation respectively, and every 8 sows were killed randomly by anesthesia process. We colected sows’ blood for reproductive hormone levels analysis, the jejunum, ileum and colon contents for 16 s rRNA high-throughput sequencing and metabolic product determination, and recorded the sows’ body weight, bone mass, muscle weight, fat weight, visceral weight, uterus weight, ovary weight, corpus luteum number, fetus number, fetal litter weight, etc.Experimental conclusions showed that: 1)The primiparous Huanjiang mini-pigs’ reproductive performance was at a low level, and the changes of the reproductive hormone levels in plasma were relatively normal at 45 d and 75 d of gestanation. However, prolactin levels in the late pregnancy showed certain disorder fluctuations, which may due to physiological stress lead by labor.2)During pregnancy of Huanjiang mini-pigs,part of the intestinal contents microbial community and metabolite has changed significantly(P<0.05).These changes occurred mainly in the jejununal and ileal contents, which didn’t not appear significantly in colonic contents.3)From 16 S gene function prediction analysis,we found that the abundance of bacteria in jejunal and ileal contents rised significantly which regulate energy metabolism and nutrient absorption of intestine(P<0.05),but the same performance was not obvious in colonic contents along with pregnancy.
