Optimization And Application Of Porcine Pseudorabies Immunization Program In Hunan Province

Porcine pseudorabies(PR)is a highly contagious disease caused by pseudorabies virus(Pseudorabies virus,PRV).It can lead to abortion,mummification,weak and stillbirth of pregnant sow,acute death of newborn piglets,accompanied by diarrhea and neurologic symptoms.Because the disease can be produced in the fattening stage.Pseudorabies is once classified as respiratory disease.China's pig breeding industry has been continuously developing towards intensive development in recent years.However,The severe rebound of pig pseudorabies in 2011 made people doubt that the traditional Bartha-K61 strain attenuated vaccine is insufficient for the prevention and control of the current pseudorabies virus.resulting in the dilemma that PRV has been highly prevalent in pig farms from over the world and leading huge economic loss for pig industry.In the actual production application process,most of pig farmers aware that one-day-old piglet should be immunized with PRV vaccine via nasal inhalation.unfortunately,these pig farmers do not know what kinds of PRV vaccines should be applied for thirty five-day-old pigs and seventy-day-old pigs to effectively prevent and control PRV infection and spread.In view of this,the research was carried out during 2016 to 2018 to diagnose PRV in pig industry by using gE-ELISA and gB-ELISA methods.By application of the optimization of the current PRV vaccine immunization program and the establishment of reasonable prevention and control measures in this pig farm,the optimized immunization program is promoted and applied to provide reference for the effective prevention and control of the PRV infection and spread.The specific test results are as follows:Optimization of vaccine immunization procedure: Five different Swine Pseudorabies Vaccine Immunization Programs were used to immunize five different batch of pig farms in a pig farm in Hunan province,and the pig farm had recently imported PRV wild venom pigs from the outside world,resulting in the prevalence of PRV wild poison in the pig farm.To explore which immunization measures of pseudorabies virus vaccine should be applied for 35-days and 70-days pigs for preventing and controlling this disease.The test pigs were collected before the test 10 d and after the experiment 30 d respectively.After separating the serum,the PRV gE and gB antibody seras were detected.The results showed that the PRV gE antibody sero-positivity rate of PRV was reduced from 26.67% to 0.0% after the studied pigs were taken“live + extinction” immunization program;the sero-prevalence rate of PRV was reduced from 26.67% to 6.67% after the “death + live” immunization procedure application.The positive rate of serum positive rate increased from 20.0% to 46.15% after the use of "extinguish + extinguish" immunization program.The serum positive rate of pig population increased from 20.0% to 28.57% after the "live + live" immunization program.The sero-prevalence of PRV after immunization with the conventional old virus-deleted vaccines rose from 20.0% to 100.0%.The results showed that the use of "live + extinction" immunization program has the best effect of prevention and control on PRV.Optimize the application of program promotion: according to the above test results,combined with the actual situation of the farm.The optimization programs was applied to the two large-scale pig farms in Hunan province.The results showed that compared with the serum antibody test results before and after the promotion,the positive rate of serum antibody in these two studied pig farms decreased from 18.33% and 22.5% to 1.67% and 0.0%,respectively,and the controlling effects were relatively high.The above results indicated that the application of PRV "live + extinction" vaccine immunization program can effectively reduce the positive rate of wild PRV in pigs,and then achieve the disease prevention and control.This study has laid a solid foundation for the implementation of the purification of PRV in China's pig farms and has positive significance for ensuring the healthy development of swine industry.
