Sampling Investigation Of Parasitic Infection In Sheep And Goats In Xide County,Sichuan

Xide County is located in southwest of Sichuan Province,it is not only a multi-ethnic residential semi-agricultural and semi-pastoral areas,but also one of important country that the national poverty alleviation work.Xide County is superior in its geographical and ecological conditions,rich in forage feed and livestock and poultry varieties,with the development of animal husbandry unique natural advantages and resource advantages.In recent years,in order to win the battle against poverty,Xide County construct the sheep industry as a key industry to alleviate poverty,as an important way out for the people to overcome poverty.Parasitic disease is the main limiting factor of sheep farming industry,shows a chronic consumption of venereal diseases,which affects the economic benefits of breeding and restricts the development of industry.In order to understand the parasite infection in sheep of Xide County,the parasite fecal examination method and animal parasite biopsy method were used to exam the internal parasite infection,a total of 143 fecal samples and 20 sheep were examined,for providing evidence for the prevention and treatment of parasitic diseases of Xide County sheep.The results showed that the prevalence of nematodes was highest,85.31%(122/143),followed by 71.33%(102/143)of trematodes,again 56.64% of coccidia(81/143)and the lowest infection rate in tapeworms,at 6.29%(9/143).According to the results of the biopsy,the prevalence of the parasite was 95%(19/20),and the average intensity of infection was67.16worm/head,among which the nematode infection and infection intensity rate was the highest,and this result confirmsthe results of fecal test once again.We examined the goat(n= 8)and sheep(n=12),and infection rate of goat is 87.5%,infection rate of sheep is 100 %.The results of this study showed that nematodes is not only exhibit the highest infection rate in sheep,but also have a high infection intensity.Therefore,the dominant sheep parasite in Xide County is nematode,and the infection rate is nematode >trematode>coccidia >tapeworm.Investigation results showed that the parasite infection of sheep in Xide County area is serious,among which the situation of nematode infection in sheep is particularly serious,so we should combine the results of this survey to carry out reasonable prevention andtreatment measures for parasitic disease of Xide County sheep and goats.
