With the appearance of the large-scale breeding farms and the increase of the breeding density, a various of disease have also occurred, which have incurred great loss to the breeders. The systematic and through investigation was made to the farms of Dongying, and the corresponding measures were raised to the problems. According to the studies, the pathogens of chronic pneumonia of sheep and goats were identified to be the Mycoplama ovine Pneumonia (MoP)and the Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PA). The rapid diagnosis antigen of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was made, and the indirect ELISA was established to measure the antibody of the goats and sheep. Based on the above, the large-scale serum investigation was made.Four parts were included in the studies :Part one : The epidemiology investigation of diseases of goats and sheep in the farms of DongyingAccording to the epidemiology of three different farms in different locations of Dongying , it was cleared that the infection rate and mortality of infectious disease, which was31.5% and 3.5%, was higher than that of the common disease and the parastic disease. The infection rate and mortality of the common disease was 7.5%and 0.69%, and that of the parasitic disease was 17.6% and 2.7%. The infectious disease mainly occurred in the spring and winter. The susceptibility of different breed was different, and the ability of local goats and sheep to resist the disease was much higher than that of the imported foreign one.
