Investigation And Control Of Pet Mites Dermatosis In Shenyang Area

With the development of Chinese economy and society,pets are increasingly entering into people’s lives.Mites,as a common pet parasite,are one of the main pathogens causing skin diseases in pets.After mites invade the pet body,they will appear skin erythema,itching and even appear pustules,crusts,and other symptoms,but lead to malnutrition,skin damage,low immunity,endocrine disorders and so on.Pet mite dermatosis has a high incidence,easyly to be infected and recur,some mites are zoonotic infectious diseases,seriously endangering the healthy of people and pets.Therefore,the treatment and control of mite dermatosis is more and more important.To study the influence of different repellent frequency on the incidence of acarid dermatosis by comparing different treatment schemes for acarid diseases.From June2017 to June 2018,18758 pet cases were treated in 12 pet hospitals in Shenyang,accounting for 8.2% of the cases;1539 pets dermatoses were collected,including 613 mite dermatoses and 236 mite fungal mixed infectious dermatoses,Aaccounting for 55.17% of skin diseases.The skin disease caused by mites has become a common disease in clinical pets.Result:1.Climate has a greater impact on mite-borne skin diseases.The incidence of mite-borne skin diseases will increase in warm and humid climates,but the proportion of all skin diseases in pets will decrease.Summer is a high incidence of mite dermatosis.2.In mite dermatosis,dogs are more susceptible to Sarcoptes and Demodex than cats,and cats are more susceptible to itching mites than dogs.3.the age of pets is negatively correlated with the incidence of mite dermatosis.Females are more susceptible than males.Pet breeds have a certain impact on mite-borne dermatosis,but the number of pets should also be taken into account.Bulldog,firewood dog and German shepherd dog are the first three in the number of dogs;American short-haired cats,Chinese pastoral cats and foreign short-haired cats are the first three in the number of cats.4.pet mites skin diseases are easy to produce mixed infection skin diseases with fungi.5.The self-healing rate of mite dermatosis is low;Pet mite dermatosis can be treated with external spray,mite injection and shampoo,supplemented with vitamins and systemic anti-infection therapy;Otitis mites can be treated with ear drops and external favorite treatment.6.the frequency of insect repellent is the most significant in every two months.To sum up,canine and cat mite dermatosis is affected by age,breed,species,climate and other factors,juvenile pets and high temperature and humidity environment can increase the risk of pet disease;the best way to control mites is to regularly repel insects,repellent interval should not be too long,one to two months is better,treatment should be reasonable system Definite treatment plan,combined administration.
