With the development of citizens living standards and the improvement of spiritual civilization, the quantity of companion animals has increased especially for dogs and cats. While the increasing number of dogs has caused more dogs’ illness, which cannot be neglected for people. Of these various illness, dermatosis in dogs is a common illness featured with pathological transformation of skin and fur. Some dogs infected by fungus could transfer the pathogen to human, and even course public health problems. Thus, getting a good knowledge of epidemiology, chief pathogen, dogs’ dermatosis related drug-sensitivity and clinical therapeutic effect help provide theoretical bases for precaution, diagnoses and treatment of dogs’ dermatosis. The author collected the one-year visiting information about dermatosis infected dogs to make some survey analyses about epidemic disease(319 cases) characters of dermatosis in Shihezi. Res ults show that dermatosis often occurs in summer for Shihezi, and of these infected dogs, one-year-old puppies have the higher rate(29.47%). Backs are easily infected(33.54%), and bacterial infec tion is the main type(56.11%). Parasite infection cases occur more frequently in Shihezi(25.71%),of which flees and ticks could transmit diseases requiring public health departments’ attention. In order to get information of clinical characters and chief pathogen, the author carries out information collection, analyzes and collect epidemic materials to make laboratory identification. Results show that waists and backs(23.91%), then the breast(18.48%) and face(18.48%) are easily infected by fungal dermatosis for infected dogs in Shihezi. In these fungus, microsporum canis(81.25%), should be the most precaution one. Besides, the infection of microsporon gypseum and trichophyton mentagrophytes should be taken into consideration as well. Using primer r DNA1 and r DNA2 to microsporum canis gets the stripe ranging about 769 bp, which testifies the identification results in morphology.Microsporum canis is the chief pathogen of fungal dermatosis in Shihezi, so it was selected as research object. The author carried out drug sensitivity test to microsporum canis in two methods. The results of drug sensitive slips method show that sensitivities in microsporum canis to medicine are different.Microsporum canis shows good sensitivity to Terbinafine and Itraconazole, and some degree of resistance to other drugs, such as ketoconazole, fluconazole, and clotrimazole. To compare three therapeutic effects of the three medicines to fungal dermatosis, three groups of fungal dermatosis infected dogs were selected to use three medicines. From therapeutic clinical effects of Lamisil Daktarin and Clotrimazole ointment, three medicines work well in the treatment of fungal dermatosis in Shihezi. The result of the experiment coincides and testified that Terbinafin e(87.5%) is the best choice. The research testified the epidemiological character of dermatosis, meanwhile, clinical character, pathogen species and clinical therapeutic effects of pathogeny to sensitivity of medicine. To deal with dermatosis in Shihezi, especially to find motivations of the precaution, diagnoses and treatment of fungal dermatosis, this will improve animal welfare and give more implications instructions for people’s health.
