As a big traditional pig breeding province,Sichuan province,used to have lowcost production advantages,quantity advantages and price comparative advantages in pig breeding with a large number of rural labor force,land resources and other good factors of production endowment,and is an important output province in China.However,in recent years,the proportion of pork export in Sichuan province has been greatly reduced,and the price has been rising,while the income has been declining.As a traditional province of pig breeding and consumption,has the status of pig breeding changed in recent years? Is there an impact on the cost-benefit? What are the causes of this change? This is the current situation of pig breeding in Sichuan province needs to be clarified.Based on the review of relevant literatures,Firstly,the concepts related to the cost and benefit of pig breeding and the scale of breeding were defined,and the relevant theories involved in the research process of this paper were sorted out.Secondly,it analyzes the current situation from the aspects of the annual output of pork,the amount of stockpiling,the change of the proportion of each scale and the export,and makes a comparison with the other nine big pig breeding provinces and the national average level.And further comparative analysis is made on the changes of selling price,cost-benefit.On this basis,factors analysis and comprehensive index analysis were used to analyze the main factors affecting the cost-benefit of pig breeding in Sichuan province.Then it describes the change of the main cost,and conducts a field survey of the reasons for the change,which is elaborated in the form of investigation and analysis.Finally,the corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions are given.The research results of this paper show that from 2007 to 2017,the number of live pigs in Sichuan province was still the first in China.In terms of output,storage and pork output,it is still the largest province in China.In terms of the scale of farming,the proportion of individual farmers in Sichuan province is decreasing and the scale of farming is gradually increasing,among which small-scale farming is the fastest growing,followed by medium scale and large-scale farming.However,compared with the national average,the proportion of individual households in Sichuan province is still very high,and the proportion of small-scale breeding is similar.And as China's major pork export province,Sichuan accounts for as little as 2.29% of the country's exports.Export prices are no longer competitive.Further analysis showed that the price and cost of live pigs in Sichuan province rose much higher than the national average and both exceeded the national average.Net income fell below the national average.The empirical results show that the cost structure of piglet breeding in Sichuan province shows that piglet cost,feed cost and labor cost have a significant impact on the cost-return rate.After combing the data of these three major costs,it is found that the main factors that lead to the decline of the cost profit of pig breeding in Sichuan are the sharp rise of piglet cost and labor cost,and the change of feed cost also has a certain impact.Finally,through the research to find the cause which made the main costs changed.And suggested to strengthen the pig breeding system,the construction of standardized breeding bases and reduce labor costs and market information guidance;Stabilize feed prices;combine the Internet agriculture and develop new types of farmers suited to the development of modern animal husbandry;support technological innovation in leading enterprises.
