Developing biomass energy is one of the effective ways to change the agricultural development mode, construct the rural ecological civilization and improve the living environment. With the continuous promotion of large-scale planting and breeding, the acceleration of urbanization and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards, the resulting crop straw, livestock and poultry breeding manure, household waste and other wastes have become an urgent problem to be solved. These wastes not only cause waste of resources, but also lead to ecological imbalance, environmental pollution and lower quality of life.At present, the application of biomass energy is negative and the development of biomass energy is slow in rural areas. How to make full use of biomass energy more efficiently has become the focus of the whole society. Therefore,it is important to clarify the influencing factors of farmers’ behavior for the promotion and development of biomass energy and the optimization of energy structure.Based on the seven areas 550 farmer households in Jiangxi province to visit investigation, based on the theory of planned behavior, from behavior attitude(biomass can cognition, family atmosphere and surrounding environment, the environmental protection laws and regulations of cognitive),subjective norms(agricultural training experience, ecological infrastructure, biomass policy),perceived behavioral control(gender, age, education, family resources endowment, family population, family economic income)in the three kinds of characteristic variables to select 20 variables, build a binary Logistic regression model, the farmers empirical analysis on the factors which influence the behavior of using biomass. After removing the non-significant variables, the quadratic regression showed that the policy incentive factors had the most significant impact on the use of biomass energy by farmers. The results show that:(1)Among the behavioral and attitude variables, factors such as the cognition of biomass energy, family atmosphere and surrounding environment have a significant impact on the use of biomass energy by farmers.(2)Among the subjective normative variables, economic incentive policies, forest closure policies and other factors have a significant impact on the use of biomass energy by farmers.(3)Among the perceived behavioral control variables, gender factors are most significant for the use of biomass energy by farmers. Therefore, farmers’ enthusiasm to use biomass energy should be enhanced.First, farmers’ cognition of biomass energy should be enhanced and active participation of farmers should be guided.Through a variety of ways to deepen farmers’ understanding of biomass energy, such as energy knowledge competition, special lectures, regular publicity and education or advertising, the formation of a multi-channel knowledge dissemination system,in order to better expand the scope of farmers’ awareness.Second, the governmentshould increase the economic incentive-based policy support for diversification.Such as the implementation of biogas subsidies, electricity subsidies, low interest rate loans, tax incentives and other measures.Third, supervision and implementation complement and promote each other. We will strengthen oversight of the construction and operation of biomass energy projects and ensure that relevant subsidies are in place in a timely manner so that farmers and enterprises can effectively receive economic subsidies and increase the enthusiasm of farmers and enterprises.
