Aiming at a series problem such as the decrease of crop yield caused by years of Rotary tillage in the mountainous areas of southern Ningxia,the lower ploughing layer and the degradation of soil quality.So,we adapted the Smash Ridge Tillage Technique(SRTT)developed by Guangxi Academy of Engineering was introduced to investigate the effect of the new tillage measures on soil quality and potato growth.Therefore,in this experiment,the original species of Green Potato No.9th as the test material,set up different tillage depth of the SRTT(tillage depth of 30cm,45cm,respectively),with the traditional rotary tillage as the control(CK,tillage depth of 15cm).To investigate the effect of SRTT on soil properties and potato yield.Designed to explore effective new farming practices that improve soil structure and study the suitable SRTT for Nanshan district is selected to realize the benign production of soil,which provides scientific basis for the popularization of Smash Ridge Tillage Technique in this area.The main findings are as follows:1.Compared with CK,the treatment of ridge for 30cm depth can improve the soil moisture content of the 15?30cm layer for 9.56%,while the depth 30cm and 45cm treatments of the powder ridge could significantly improve the soil water content of the 30?45cm layer soil for 12.07%and 23.37%respectively after used the SRTT.2.Compared with the traditional rotary tillage,the deep 30cm and 45cm treatment of the SRTT could reduce the soil bulk density of 15?30cm layer by 7.68%and 6.09%respectively,The deep 45cm treatment of powder Ridge reduced the soil bulk weight of 30-45cm layer by 11.17%,SRTT could increase the soil porosity of 15-30cm and 30?45cm soils,and the depth 30cm and 45cm treatment of powder ridges are reduced by 6.77%,5.45%,9.03%and 7.48%respectively.3.After the cultivation of SRTT,the content of available nutrients in the soil of 30cm and 45cm treated with 0-45cm was more significant than that of traditional tillage.Among them,the available phosphorus increased by 18.97%,35.99%,the available potassium increased by 7.73%,15.46%,and the alkaline nitrogen increased by 6.48%and 12.52%.4.Compared with the traditional rotary tillage,the depth of 30cm and 45cm treatments could significantly improve the number of soil microorganisms,for example,the amount of bacteria in the deep 15?30cm layer of 30cm treatment increased by 48.41%,and the number of fungi in deep 0?15cm layer increased by 62.53%under the 0?45m treatment.The number of actinomycetes in 0?45cm soil layer increased by 42.02%under the treatment of deep 45cm of Powder Ridge.5.SRTT can significantly improve potato plant height,stem thickness,total root length,root surface area,root volume and potato dry matter accumulation,among which the effect of deep 45m treatment performed best,SRTT can significantly improve potato yield,in which the deep 45cm treatment of powder Ridge increases production by 10.19%.The results show that compared with the traditional rotary tillage treatment,the SRTT can effectively reduce soil bulk density,increase soil porosity,increase soil water content,and coordinate soil three phase ratio to help increase soil available nutrient content and microbial population.Through the comprehensive score of principal component analysis(PCA),the comprehensive improvement of soil by 45cm tillage depth was the best.
