Taking Yunwu as the spot of field investigation,this paper main focuses on discussing the changes of rice culture in Dai rural communities,observing and analyzing the political,scientific,technological and economic forces behind it,so as to reveal an important corner of the process of'agricultural reform in the border areas of China and have people pay attention to the thought and logic changes of agricultural production hidden behind the Dai rice production.First of all,the paper mainly describes the situation of the Dai rice cultivation in the traditional era and it's transformation under the country.The Dai rice cropping in the traditional era is a kind of leisurely agriculture with low cost but high output,which complies with the times and respects the nature.After liberation,under the strategic operation of the country,the Dai agriculture was reformed,which brought about the change of the mode of production and concept.Then,the paper focus on the importance of rice in Dai people's life from the aspects of economy,culture and emotion.As a form of livelihood,ritual crop and affective gift,rice is irreplaceable in the Dai society.Therefore,even in the current low food prices,rice can be grown in large quantities locally.Finally,the paper tells how the local knowledge of the Dai nationality is excavated and innovated through the process of rebuilding Gongmi,so as to understand the encounter of the local knowledge in contemporary society.
