We have developed a new kind of compound disinfectant called benzalkonium bromide iodine,which combines the advantages of the halogen disinfector and quaternary ammonium salt disinfector.The good qualities of benzalkonium bromide iodine contain powerful collection,broad spectrum,low irritation,corrosion and toxicity etc.However,there was no research involving the disinfection effect against aquatic pathogenic bacteria is studied.Therefore,the aim of studies is to study its minimum bacteriostatic concentration(MIC),minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC),qualitative and quantitative killing test,influence factors,capacity test,the scene simulation and field test.This study is expected to Provide theoretical basis for production practice.The results show that:1.The MIC of benzalkonium bromide iodine against Aeromonas hydrophila,Staphylococcus aureus,Corynebacterium Bacillus and water mold spores is 1.92 mg/L,0.48 mg/L,0.48 mg/L and3.84 mg/L respectively,the MBC is 3.84 mg/L,0.96 mg/L,0.96 mg/Land7.68 mg/L respectively.2.When the least time for efficient sterilization of benzalkonium bromide iodide and iodine volts to subject bacteria is 5 min,the MBC of benzalkonium bromide iodide against Aeromonas hydrophila,Staphylococcus aureus,Corynebacterium Bacillus and water mold spores was 25 mg/L,1.56 mg/L,25mg/L and 125 mg/L respectively.However,at the same condition,the MBC of iodine volts to these bacteria was 5mg/L,75 mg/L,300 mg/L and 75 mg/L respectively.3.Whthin 3 min after adding with MBC when benzalkonium bromide iodide and iodine volts,both of them are able to kill heavy water bacteria,aquatic bacterium staphylococcus aureus and water mold,with the killing logarithm value of which are all over five.When the effect time pass 5 min,they were able to kill rod-shaped bacillus with over five killing logarithm value4.The influence of temperature,pH and organic thing concentration to the inactivated rate of benzalkonium bromide iodide to these bacteria were not significant.5.Capacity test:the lowest qualified concentration of benzalkonium bromide iodine to heavy water bacteria,aquatic bacterium staphylococcus aureus was 0.083%(25 mg/L).6.Simulation field trial:after adding benzalkonium bromide iodine with 12.5 mg/L to heavy water bacteria over 30 min,99.9%of the bacteria could be killed.When the effect time excess 10 min,99.9999%of the heavy water bacteria were killed,while when the concentration of benzalkonium bromide iodine added with 37.5 mg/L,100%of the bacteria could be killed with in 10 min.7.Field Test:when sterilized with 25 mg/L benzalkonium bromide iodine 30 min,9.14%,99.26%,99.35%of the bacteria from A,B and C pond were killed respectively.After 2 h,all the bacterial were killed which could be identified as the standard disinfection.
