Sustainable Development Of Animal Husbandry In Mineral Resource Enrichment Region

Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is an important production and processing and export base for the country's green livestock products.The vast grasslands are not only the basis for farmers and herdsmen engaged in animal husbandry production and the carrier of grassland ecosystems,but also the important enrichment area of mineral resources.With the implementation of the strategy of developing the western region,the process of industrialization in Inner Mongolia has been accelerating and the economic development has been advancing by leaps and bounds.However,this industrial model that relies excessively on energy development to drive economic development has triggered off the contradiction between the “fourth mine”(mining,mining,miners,and mining cities),“rural development”(agriculture,countryside,farmers),“three pastoralists”(animal husbandry,pastorala reas,herdsmen)and the grassland “three modernizations”(degradation,desertification and salinization),which has affected the sustainable development of animal husbandry in Inner Mongolia.Therefore,in the process of resource development and utilization,how to promote the sustainable development of animal husbandry in these regions and achieve the coordinated development of economy,society and ecology requires in-depth and meticulous research.This paper first analyzes the development and utilization of mineral resources and animal husbandry in Inner Mongolia.Secondly,the influence of mineral resources development on animal husbandry is analyzed on the micro level.Using principal component analysis(PCA)method and relevant data from 2000 to 2016,the index system of sustainable development of animal husbandry in the entire region was constructed and evaluated from four aspects: production,society,economy,resources and ecological environment.On the basis of the results of the analysis and the field investigation at the micro level in some areas of Xilinguole League and Ordos City,policy recommendations for promoting the sustainable development of animal husbandry are proposed in the areas with rich mineral resources.
