Ujimchin White Horse from West Ujimchin and its adjacent areas of Xilingol League in Inner Mongolia,is an essential local variety livestock that known as Genghis Khan White Horse.Same as other Mongolian horses,Ujimchin White Horse has the characteristics of cold tolerance,strong disease resistance and strong vitality.However,the distribution area and population quantity are relatively small.Since 1970 s,because of economic and religious reasons,the quantity and quality of Ujimchin White Horse have been severely reduced and degraded.Therefore,since 1992 the People's Government of West Ujimchin has invited relevant professionals and units to implement the “Ujimchin White Horse Breeding and Applied Research”,and launched the Ujimchin White Horse breeding work.In this paper,the Ujimchin White Horse is taken as the research object,and the genetic resources of it are investigated.Furthermore,this paper also studied the index of body size,components of meat and milk nutrition.It will help future's research to lay the foundation,which is for the identification of the Ujimchin White Horse as a new genetic resource of the Mongolian horse.The results of the study are as follows:1.This paper investigates the number of populations of the Ujimchin White Horse in West Ujimchin of Xilingol League.The current number of Ujimchin White Horses is6184,and the most extensive distribution of it is in Ulanhalag town,which is 76% of the total.2.In 2016,Ulanhalag and some other places in Barun Ujimchin,researchers measured the body size of the Ujimchin White Horse,and compared to the 1995' data.The results showed that there were significant improvements in body height,length,chest circumference,and tube circumference on Ujimchin White Horse which had been through the “plan breeding” method.3.This article measured the content of water,protein,crude fat,fatty acid,minerals,amino acid,and Vitamins of Ujimchin White Horse horse meat,and compared nutrition of other livestock and poultry meat.According to the results,the Ujimchin White Horse meat has high protein,low fat,and essential amino acid content is higher than the control group.4.This article analyzes the nutrient composition of fresh horse milk and koumiss of Ujimchin White Horse and compares it with other mammalian livestock.Based on theresults,the content of lactose in fresh horse milk and koumiss from Ujimchin white horse was close to that of human milk,and the fat was low.Moreover,there were many types of essential amino acids,and abundant vitamin C content.
