Investigation On The Status Of Veterinary Drug Residues In Milk And Dairy Products Of Hohhot Region

In recent years,with the development of the national economy and the improvement of people's living standards,milk and dairy products have gradually entered thousands of families and become an indispensable part of the diet composition of every family.Hohhot,known as "Dairy Capital of China",is an important base for dairy farming,and also a major region of milk supply and dairy production and consumption.Therefore,the problem of drug residues in milk and dairy products is attracting more and more attention from local governments and consumers.In order to understand the status of veterinary drug residues in milk and dairy products in Hohhot region,the methods of questionnaire survey was used to investigate the consumption conditions of milk and dairy products in 130 Hohhot residents,the situation of the sale of milk and dairy products,the situation of the sale of 65 representative supermarkets and 60 dairy distributors of dairy products in Hohhot Region,also to make inquiries of 34 managers,8 veterinaries of dairy farms and 10 veterinary experts about clinical use of veterinary drugs and so on.A retrospective survey was conducted to investigate the detection results of veterinary drug residues in 370 samples of dairy in Hohhot from 2014 to 2015.High performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)was used to detect common veterinary drug residues in 74 samples of dairy products in Hohhot.The results of the investigation show that:Of the respondents,95.38% the consumers have edible experience of milk and dairy products;94.30% of the market milk was produced from Hohhot region and 5.70% from other regions;82.79% of the dairy products were from the Hohhot region and 17.21% from other regions;55.38% of the consumers paid attention to the problem of veterinary drug residues in dairy products;20.59% of the cattle farm had the excess use of veterinary drugs,85.29% of the cattle fields has a record of drug use,94.29% of the cattle farms strictly enforced the period of veterinary medicine,94.44% of the cattle fields have full-time veterinarians,100% of the cattle farms have veterinary drug residue detection of milk and dairy products.Conclusion: In Hohhot,people consume a large amount of milk and dairy products,most of which they consume are produced in this region.Moreover,there is a high degree of concern about the residues of veterinary drugs in this kind of dairy products.Most of the dairy cattle farms in Hohhot strictly enforce the period of veterinary medicine after use of veterinary drugs.All the milk station will carry out antibiotic residue testing on milk obtained from each farm.The most commonly used drugs were penicillin,amoxicillin,ampicillin and ceftiofur;There are no veterinary drug residues was detected in either the milk samples or the commercial dairy product samples in the main milk producing areas of Hohhot in recent two years.
