The paper mainly researches on the medicine efficacy, toxicological and clinical application of polysaccharide from ginseng leaves. It provides a theoretical basis for practical applications. In order to explore the medicine efficacy of polysaccharide from ginseng leaves, immune function of mice, loaded swimming time in mice and weight gain in mice were stuiduied in this study. The results showed that:Polysaccharide from ginseng leaves increased the serum phagocyte index, reduced the activities of serum hemolysin, promoted production of antibody-producing cells in the splenic and rate of CD4+?CD8+ of T-Cell subgroups were not changed. Results showed that polysaccharide from ginseng leaves can improved the immunological function.Polysaccharide from ginseng leaves can Promote the weight gain in mice and lengthen the swimming time of mice.It result that polysaccharide from ginseng leaves had anti-fatigue effects on mice.In this study,LD50 of Polysaccharide from ginseng leaves was determined by the research of acute toxicity experiment in mice. The study on long-term toxicity test for polysaccharide from ginseng leaves provides a theoretical basis for practical applications. The results showed that:No death was observed when polysaccharide from ginseng leaves was orally administered to a mouse at high dosage(5000 mg /kg.bw).It result that polysaccharide from ginseng leaves were relatively non-toxic.The long-term toxicity test for polysaccharide from ginseng leaves show that:Comparing with control, viscera index, biochemical indexes, main organs and tissue section were not significant. There was not toxic reaction in 30 days chronic toxic test.Animal experiment and clinical trial show that:Pigs were dosed continued for 7 days with polysaccharide from ginseng leaves(0.01%)in drinking water without any indication of poisoning.Polysaccharide from ginseng leaves(0.01%)had improvement on the growth,SFD antibody value and antibody level. Conclusion: polysaccharide from ginseng leaves had improvement on the growth, immune levels and had anti-fatigue effects. It also result that polysaccharide from ginseng leaves were relatively non-toxic.
