| Banana is one of the most productive fruit especially in the tropic areas.Laos also is one of the most important for the banana producing.In its production process,drying is an important process,and its moisture content is reduced less than 12%by drying,so as to store,transport and process.In recent years,the experimental test of drying bananas by solar dryer biomass-assisted heating was carried out in the Renewable Energy and New Materials Institute in Laos.The experimental results showed that the bananas needed a lot of evaporating moisture content during the drying process,in the drying process,also needed time to evaporate the humidity,the drying effect was not good,the traditional drying device was designed simply,and the thermal efficiency,the heat insulation effect is poor and the heat loss is a big problem for this system.In order to develop and utilize the technology of solar drying in the tropical area of Laos,a new type of solar flat plate heat collector drying device is designed and proposed to put forward in this paper.According to the China-Laos Joint Lab for Renewable Energy Utilization and Cooperation Development project was constructed and developed in Laos,a solar flat plate heat collector drying device was designed and developed,and the corresponding research on the drying process of Laos’s banana was carried out.The solar drying device is composed of a flat plate solar air collector,a V-sharp heat absorbing plate,an insulation drying chamber and a fan.The total area of the collector is 4m2,there are two collectors and each collectors are used 4 fans installed on the outlet of the collector,with a total is 8 fans,and the power of each fan is 21WAC,the size of the drying chamber is 207cm length,108cm width and 127cm high.The experimental study on the drying characteristics of bananas was carried out in with according to the environmental conditional of Laos,the experimental results showed that the moisture content dry basic of the dried bananas decreased from initial 1.55 to final 0.34 and0.41,respectively,and the initial mass of banana were 14.9kg,155g and the final mass of banana were 7.56kg,70g,respectively.The average absorption energy of the system collector is 55.45 KJ.The energy consumption of the apoplexy in the 4 days during drying process was 8.4 kWh.By analyzing 3 commonly used drying models under different dry wind speed and temperature loading factors,the Page mathematical model suitable for banana drying is fitted.The model can be used in the future banana drying to predict the water content and drying rate of solar drying under different conditions under different drying conditions.In order to further reduce the energy consumption of solar drying system,improve the system characteristics,use photovoltaic power to provide power to drive the fan,and carry out relevant research work.It provides theoretical basis and experimental basis for solar energy banana drying in Laos scale and energy saving. |
