Fruit-drying is the main means of fruit processing in Xingjian, however, the quality and health indicators of dried fruit can not be guaranteed with the drying method of sun drying. It affects the market competitiveness of dried fruit and restricts the prospect of the Xingjiang nuts. Combined with the unique advantage of solar resources in Xinjiang, and applied solar drying technology to the dry areas of fruit, we designed the Solar Drying Equipment of Using Solar. The equipment could solve the problems of traditional drying and improve the quality of the dried fruit.The Solar Drying Equipment is mainly composed by the heating systems, drying systems and control systems. The dying equipment make use combined heating system of solar energy and electronic heated apparatus, and equipment is designed for one structure. The solar collector installed on the exine of the drying room; and the room is installed on the movable underframe. In this way, the dip and azimuth of the collector can be adjusted according to the sun. We reuse the discharge of the exhaust of the drying chamber under cyclic heating, we carry out the simulation of the air-quantity distribution and add the air uniform plate to improve the uniformity of air flow of the dying chamber.We add the dust removal structure to the snake-like type of Solar air collector which is self-developed, and design the duct diaphragm and air deflector on the absorber plate, so the performance of collector improved significantly. According to doing the thermal performance of the collector, we calculate the instantaneous efficiency of is44.81%, the time constant is13min, and obtained the relationship of he output temperature (to), the wind speed of the air channel (v), the length of the channel (L) and the ambient temperature (ta) is to=39.82-108.51v+10.34v2+52.88L-2.57L2+1.86ta-0.02ta2. The formula provides the theoretical basis of manufacture of this type of collector. Than we calculate that the total lighting area of the drying equipment is6m2.We carry out the dying characteristics test of apricot with the test prototype of Solar Drying Equipment, and draw the conclusion that the drying speed is faster when the temperature is65℃and the air velocity is9.5m/s. By the way, we have investigated the thin-layer drying model of apricot and the dying of apricot conform the Page Drying Model. It supplies the reference basis for the application of the dying equipment and the examination of drying technology. Using the Solar Drying Equipment to carry on the experiment of drying apricot with solar, the drying time is80h which reduced by52.94%than traditional drying way; the top-grade product rate of the dried fruit is94.35%which is three times of sun drying.
