As an important part of the solar drying system,the solar drying oven can provide a good drying environment for the alfalfa and ensure the drying temperature.A reasonable drying oven design can provide a uniform drying air flow for the alfalfa,making the alfalfa more uniform in drying and more excellent in quality.However,due to the unreasonable structure design of the drying chamber,the airflow distribution in the drying chamber is not uniform,so that the contact between the airflow and the material is not uniform,resulting in inconsistent drying of the material,and the moisture content of the dry product obtained in the same batch is not the same.This brings many problems to the subsequent deep processing and storage.Therefore,a reasonable drying chamber structure is designed to make the air flow distribution more uniform,so that the heat transfer between the air flow and the material during the drying process can reduce the drying time more fully and reduce the energy consumption in the drying process.It is particularly important to make the moisture content of the dry product more uniform.This paper relies on the National Natural Science Foundation project “Research and Simulation of the Solar Drying Process of Alfalfa”.In order to further meet the requirements of low energy consumption and high quality during the drying process of the alfalfa,FLUENT software is used to numerically simulate the distribution of the airflow inside the drying oven.And the test verified the reliability of the numerical simulation results.Analyze the problems existing in the air distribution inside the drying box,and propose the optimization and improvement of the drying box,and perform numerical simulation analysis.The numerical simulation analysis of different designed drying ovens using CFD shows that by setting the spoiler at the air inlet of the drying box,the air flow can be entered into the drying box from different directions,so that the air distribution inside the drying box is greatly improved;Increasing the area of the air inlet can improve the uniformity of air distribution,and the uniformity of air flow distribution in the drying room can be further improved by improving the outer dimensions of the drying box and changing the area of the air inlet.
