Lysimeter is a professional equipment that measures infiltration,surface runoff,underground runoff and evapotranspiration in the hydrological cycle,and is applied for automatic collection of soil moisture change.It has been widely used in agriculture research institutions and agriculture demonstration zones.The hardware equipment of Lysimeter collects data only but fails to monitor,process and analyze it.Consequently,the practical value of the data collected has not realized yet.Thus,the software of Automatic Collection and Management is a complement to the hardware equipment of Lysimeter.The software intends to thoroughly analyze the balanced data of agriculture water so as to develop water-saving irrigation and increase the utilization rate of soil water;besides,it can also help the researchers to accurately monitor the dynamic change of soil moisture and further master the growth law of crops dynamically.The paper is based on the VS Development Platform in which a software of data-collection and management has been developed by the three-tier architecture & factory pattern.The software is compatible with multiple communication modes and can automatically receive,calibrate,transform,conduct,manage and visually display the data collected by Lysimeter.The research includes the following parts:(1)In the section of Software Requirement Analysis and Overall Design,the general structure of the software is designed on the basis of the analysis of functional and non-functional requirements of Lysimeter’s automatic data-collection and management system applying the method of three-tier architecture software development.By programming the similarities and differences of different sub-systems in the general structure,combining the thoughts of software development technologies,and applying the factory pattern,the functional and non-functional requirements of the software have finally been achieved.(2)In the section of Software Design & Implementation,the onstage contact surface,the configuration unit,the back subsystem,the calibration subsystem and the data-management subsystem have been studied by focusing more on human-computer interactions and applicability of software operations.The software has been designed more adaptive owing to the followings: the conscious design of multi-mode communications of configuration subsystem,the direct manipulation of back subsystem,the free-setting of multi-channel data and formula of calibration subsystem,and the optimizing displaying varieties of data subsystem.(3)In the section of Testing & Promotion of Software,the functional testing of black-box testing has been used to test the data-collection and management of the software.By using the laboratory testing data,the software system has been tested thoroughly.After the application and the feedback,the deficiency of the software has been improved until the individual subsystem can work well.Finally the Lysimeter with software will be applied and promoted by Xi’an Xinhuize Measurement &Control Technology Co.,Ltd.
