The study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary OxC-beta supplementation on during gestation and lactation on reproductive performance and immunity of sows.At 85 d of gestation,a total of 150 sows(Large White×Landrace)were selected according to parity and body condition and randomly allotted into 3 groups,with 50 sows per group using single factories experimental design.Sows were housed in individual crate.Three groups were control group,low dose group and high dose group,respectively.Then maintained on feed until 21-d postpartum.The diet of control group were basal diet,while the diet of low dose group were formulated by adding 4 mg/kg OxC-beta,while the diet of high dose group were formulated by adding 8 mg/kg OxC-beta The results are as follows:1.Compared with control group,Sow's dietary supplemented with 4 mg/kg and 8 mg/kg OxC-beta during gestation and lactation had no significant effects on the indexes of reproductive performance(P>0.05),but low dose group and high dose group were able to decrease number of weak piglets per litter,increase the birth litter weight,and the results of high dose group were much better than the low dose group.2.Compared with control group,Sow's dietary supplemented with 4 mg/kg and 8 mg/kg OxC-beta both had a trend to improve weaning litter weight and individual weaning weight(P<0.10),improved the average daily gain and survival rate,decreased diarrhea rate of piglets during lactation period,but no significant impact was achieved(P>0.05),and the results of high dose group were much better than the low dose group;both improved the average dairy feed intake of sow and estrus rate after weaning in one week,decreased the loss of backfat,but no significant impact was achieved(P>0.05).3.Sow's dietary supplemented with 4 mg/kg and 8 mg/kg OxC-beta had no significant effects on conventional ingredients of colostrum,but improved the content of milk fat,nonfat solid and milk protein,and had a trend to increase lactose of milk at 14 d during lactation(P<0.10).4.Sow's dietary supplemented with 4 mg/kg and 8 mg/kg OxC-beta both improved phagocytic activity of neutrophils at L0,decreased somatic cell number of colostrum and milk,but no significant impact was achieved(P>0.05);both significantly increased the content of IgM,IgA and IgG in colostrum and IgM in milk(P>0.05),had a trend to improve the content of IgG in milk(P<0.10);both significantly increased the level of TNF-? in colostrum and milk(P<0.05),significantly decreased the level of IL-8 in colostrum and IL-18 in milk(P<0.05),both improved the level of sCD14 in colostrum and milk,and high dose group had a trend to improve the level of sCD4 in milk(P<0.10);Both had no significant effects on the level of LTB4 in colostrum and milk(P>0.05).In conclusion,Sow's dietary supplemented with OxC-beta during gestation and lactation could enhance the innate immunity of sows,reduce the level of inflammatory factor,improve the health status of sows;increase the content of immunoglobulin in colostrum and milk,promote the growth of piglets,and the performance by adding 8mg/kg OxC-beta is much better.
