Epidemiological Investigation Of Porcine Eperythrozoonosis In Sixian County,Anhui Province

Eperythrozoon can infect human being and many animals,usally its signs are the onset of acute,thermal and infectious diseases,and it is also an immune suppression disease.It not only cause great harmness to human health,but also it can take more serious impact on the development of animal husbandry production.Sixian is one of the more important area in the pig production and transfer in Anhui province,the pig-raising industry got promoting,the model of scattered,coarse,small-scale farming become into the model of large-scale,intensive,scientific,modern breeding stage.However,it was limited by suis eperythrozoonosis with the larger loss,hence it becomes more and more serious problem.In the paper,the epidemiological investigation of porcine eperythrozoonosis was taken in Sixian county,Anhui Province,which was to helpful to master its epidemiology and to control it.300 suspected blood samples were collected from three towns,blood smear staining and PCR technique were appplied to determined it,and the data also was analyzed by statistical analysis.The results showed that 16 S rRNA gene of Eperythrozoon suis can be obviously amplified with the size of about 700 bp by PCR technique,and the detection efficiency was obviously higher than that of the blood smear detection method.The statistical results indicated:(1)The infection rate in E.suis was different between different scale or rearing farms,it from200 pigs fields was less than that of 50 pigs fields in infection rate.To 200 pig farms,its average infection rate was 32%,while the 50 pig farms in the average infection rate was 66.67%.(2)From the survey locations,the infection rate from Dunji town was the highest one,it was 65%,the next was Huang Wei town followed with the rate of 44%,the lowest is 39% to Dazhuang town.(3)In the month age,the highest infection rate was fattening pigs,reached 54.67%,but only 44% in piglets.The results showed that the infection rate of E.suis remained higher in Sixian county,it should establish an effective prevention and control measure to control the disease and to reduce the disease,in order to improve the economic benefits of pig-raising industry in Anhui.
