Study On Factors Affecting The Deviation Between Farmers’ Willingness To Use Organic Fertilizer And Application Behavior

As one of the main input elements in grain production,chemical fertilizer plays an important role in increasing grain income.But with the increase of chemical fertilizer input,the negative externality of chemical fertilizer is gradually displayed.Organic fertilizer can provide the nutrients needed for the growth of crops,and the application of organic fertilizer is beneficial to the sustainable development of agriculture.The Central Committee attached great importance to the promotion of organic manure.In 2017,the Central Committee of the Central Committee of China proposed that: further promote stopping the growth of chemical fertilizer and pesticide,and carry out organic fertilizer alternative fertilizer pilot instead,and promote agricultural efficiency of the section.Various regions actively responded to the call for the promotion of organic manure.But on the whole,the application rate of organic fertilizer is still low.Farmers are the main body of the production of agricultural products in China,which determines the input,input structure and input mode of agricultural products such as fertilizer.If we do not further explore the microeconomic characteristics of fertilizer and analyze the influencing factors of farmers’ organic fertilizer application behavior,the promotion of organic manure will be further hindered.The willingness of individual’s behavior is the direct psychological statement of whether a particular act is willing to be executed,representing the extent to which a particular act is intended.When this particular behavior can bring positive results,the willingness to change to the behavior will be more sufficient.By contract,there is a deviation between willingness and behavior.The application of organic manure for farmers is beneficial to the sustainable development of agriculture,which is a positive behavior.However,through the analysis of field survey data,it is concluded that the willingness of farmers to apply organic manure is higher than the application behavior.The difference between farmers’ willingness to use organic fertilizer and behaviors lead to the deviation between theoretical expectation and reality.To some extent,this deviation indicates that there may be obstacles in the transformation of farmers’ willingness to use organic fertilizer.On the basis of the relevant literature at home and abroad,this paper constructs a theoretical framework based on the theory of peasant household behavior,utility theory and intensive management theory.On the basis of this theory,the factors affecting the willingness and behavior of organic manure are analyzed.The willingness and behavior of farmers’ organic manure were influenced by both internal and external factors.The internal factors provide the possibility of decision-making,which mainly includes the individual characteristics of farmers and the family management characteristics of farmers.The external factors have an incentive and restrictive effect on the willingness and behavior of farmers’ organic manure,including information technology,market economy and policy system.Based on the above theoretical analysis framework,the Double-hurdle model(double column model)was set up.The paper takes Henan Province as the research object,and the influencing factors of farmers’ willingness to apply organic fertilizer and the deviation of farmers’ organic fertilizer application behavior and willingness were analyzed empirically.Firstly,the ordered Logit model is set to analyze farmers’ willingness to use organic fertilizer,the concern for the environment,family size,population and cultivated land in agricultural cooperatives,signed the order of organic fertilizer,the ability to accept the price has a positive impact on the willingness to use organic fertilizer,and the industry level has a negative effect on Farmers’ willingness to use organic fertilizer;Secondly,binary Logit model is set to manure application based on organic fertilizer application on Farmers’ behavior analysis.The farmers in cooperatives,signed the order status,agriculture,technology will promote the farmers willingness to change the behavior of organic fertilizer,the degree of gender and part-time farmers will lead to organic fertilizer application behavior and will produce deviation.Based on the theoretical and empirical analysis of influencing factors of farmers’ willingness to use organic fertilizer and behavior,this paper puts forward efforts to increase agricultural technology training and popularization,and improves agricultural technology extension system.The price of organic manure should be strengthened to establish a sound circulation mechanism of soil to promote intensive management to improve the awareness of farmers’ ecological environment protection and to encourage farmers to join agricultural production cooperatives;We should establish and improve the policy of organic fertilizer market price mechanism and social service system,so as to improve farmers’ willingness to apply organic fertilizer,guide farmers to change their willingness to apply organic fertilizer,reduce the pollution of rural ecological environment,and achieve sustainable development of agriculture.
