The purpose of this experiment is to study the effects of Intestinal Health Supplements(mainly composed of chitosan-oligosaccharides,L-ascorbic acid, and glutamine etc.)on growth performance and intestinal barrier function of Weaned Piglets. The test is divided into two parts:Experiment 1: Effects of Intestinal Health Supplements on Growth Performance, Intestinal Digestive Function,Immune Function and Intestinal Microorganism in Weakly Stigmatic PigsDuroc×(Landrace×Yorkshire)(DLY)three-way crossed weak-weaked piglets at the age of 30 days old 80 were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups(4 replicates in each group with 10 pigs per replicate). The control group was fed with clear water and basal diet for the prepared porridge mix according to 2:1;the experimental group was fed gastrointestinal nutrient solution(1 kg/100 kg water)and basal diet, according to 2:1 prepared porridge. The trial period is 15 d and the weaned piglets were free to feed and drink during the experiment. The feed intake of the piglets was recorded daily and the diarrhea was observed.Until the end of the experiment and weighing the weak-weaked piglets.Four weaned piglets were randomly selected from each group for slaughter sampling.Blood, intestinal contents, intestinal mucosa(duodenum, jejunum, and ileum)and jejunum tissue samples of weaned piglets were collected for later testing. The main testing items include that serum biochemical indicators, gastrointestinal p H,digestive enzyme activity, intestinal tissue structure, immune cells, intestinal mucosa SIg A and intestinal microflora. To explore whether improve the intestinal health of Slow-growth piglets by adding enteric nutrient health supplements can improve growth performance, which also provides reference for the application of enteral nutritional health supplements in weak-weaked piglets. The test results are as follows:(1)Growth performance and diarrhea rate: compared with the control group,to add intestinal health supplements can significantly increase the mean daily gain of weak-weaned pigs by 59.00%(P<0.05),and the average daily feed intake can increase by 14.5%(P> 0.05),the feed conversion rate decreased by 28.35%,diarrhea rate, and death rate decreased by 20.27% and 75.00%,respectively,but the difference was not significant(P> 0.05).It can be seen from the above that the addition of intestinal nutraceuticals can promote the growth and development of weakly stiff pigs and reduce mortality.(2)Serum biochemical indicators: to add intestinal nutrition and health care agents can significantly reduce the white ball ratio and urea nitrogen(P<0.05);compared with the control group, the content of cholesterol and triglyceride were increased by 23.29% and 44.63%,respectively,and the difference between the two groups was not significant(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the serum levels of lg A,lg G and lg M between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05),but the content of the test group was increased by 20.00%,20.88%,and 106.25%,respectively,compared with the control group. The above results shows that the addition of Intestinal Health Supplements can enhance the self-immunity of weak-weaked piglets.(3)Effect of intestinal health agents on the intestinal physical barrier of weak-weaked piglets: HE staining showed that compared with the control group, the addition of intestinal health supplements can significantly increase the height of the small intestine villi in the weak-weaked piglets, and reduce the depth of crypts, significantly increase the ratio of villus height to crypt depth(P<0.05).It shows that the intestinal health agent can enhance the physical barrier function of the weak-weaked piglets.(4)Effect of intestinal health agents on the intestinal chemical barrier of weak-weaked piglets: Compared with the control group, the addition of intestinal nutraceuticals reduced the p H of weakly saturated piglets in the stomach, jejunum and ileum,at the same time, the activity of pepsin, trypsin(duodenum)and chymotrypsin(duodenum, jejunum, and ileum)has increased to some extent, however, the activities difference between the two groups were not significant(P>0.05).The results of PAS staining showed that the intestinal health agent could promote the number of goblet cells in the jejunum intestinal epithelium and promote the secretion of mucous in the intestinal mucous membrane. From the above, adding enteric nutritional health agents can regulate intestinal p H and digestive enzyme activity and promote digestion and reabsorption of intestinal dry matter nutrition.(5)The effect of intestinal health agents on the intestinal immune barrier of weak-weaked piglets: the results of SPA-HRP staining showed that the area of lg A positive cells in the unit field of vision was significantly greater in the weakly frozen piglets supplemented with intestinal health agents than the control group(P<0.01),which indicates that the number of lg A-producing cells in jejunum tissue was significantly higher than the control group;Toluidine blue staining showed jejunal mast cells, which could significantly increase the number of mast cells in the intestinal intrinsic layer(P<0.05);Compared with the control group, the content of Slg A in the duodenum and jejunum increased by 19.48% and 30.21%,respectively,in the test group after the addition of the weak intestinal health agent. It can be seen that the addition of Intestinal Health Supplements can significantly enhance the intestinal immune function and improve the resistance of weakly frozen piglets.(6)Effect of intestinal health agents on the intestinal microbial barrier of weakly fat piglets: the results of the detection of the ileal contents of weaned piglets showed that the addition of gut health supplements significantly increased the presence of lactic acid bacteria in the jejunum and colon compared to the control group(P<0.05)and inhibit the growth of E.coli in various intestinal tracts, but it is not significant difference between two group(P>0.05);the number of lactobacillus/E.coli in the intestine was higher than that in the control group;from the above,we can conclude that, after the addition of intestinal health agents, the dominant intestinal bacteria of weak-zombie pigs were mainly Lactobacillus, which reduced the rate of diarrhea and improved the growth and development of weakly frozen piglets.Experiment 2 Effect of Intestinal Health Supplements on Performance of Weaned Piglets.Duroc×(Landrace×Yorkshire)(DLY)three-way crossed weaned piglets at the age of 21 days old 168 were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups(7 replicates in each group with 12 pigs per replicate). The feeding method of the experimental group was fed according to the method of use of the product(diluted 1:150 with water, and then mixed with feed in a 2:1 ratio). The trial period is 7d,the weaned piglets were free to feed and drink during the experiment. The feed intake of the piglets was recorded daily and the diarrhea of piglets was observed. The test results are as follows: Effect of enteral nutritional health supplements on performance and diarrhea rate of weaned transitional piglets: adding intestinal health supplements can significantly increase the average final weight of weaned transitional piglets(P<0.05),At the same time, the average daily gain and average daily feed intake increased by 59.42% and 29.62%,respectively,however the difference between the two groups was not significant(P>0.05)and feed conversion rate decreased by 17.12%;Diarrhea rate and survival rate were not significantly different between the two groups(P> 0.05),but the rate of diarrhea in weaned transitional piglets decreased by 31.34% after the addition of intestinal health supplements. In summary, the addition of intestinal health agents can reduce weight loss in weaned transitional piglets and promote the growth of weaned piglets.
