The byproduct of carrageenan and the pig manure were collected from the Fujian Shishi city and Nanjing county,Respectively.Under the condition of the same NPK nutrients application rate,The article discussed the effect of adding carrageenan scraps to vegetables about the quality and yield,as well as the affect on the soil physical and chemical properties by pot experiment.The article also studied the effect of adding the mixture of carrageenan scraps and pig manure on vegetable growth and the soil physical and chemical properties by pot experiment.The main results:1.The texture of carrageenan scraps were loose,pH was 7.85,the content of the hydrolysable nitrogen,the available phosphorus and kalium was 103.47 mg/kg,127.17 mg/kg and 1288.87 mg/kg,Respectively.The nutritive elements in pig manure were rich,the value of pH was 7.36,and the content of the total nitrogen(N),phosphorus(P),kalium(K)were 23.17g.kg-1,21.06g.kg-1,1 1.60g.kg-1,respectively.2.The experiment showed that,the different effect on vegetable growth with adding different carrageenan scraps.When carrageenan scraps were applied 100g/pot into soil,the amaranth was growth best,its length and width of maximum leaf and plant height was 19.59cm,10.83cm,27.06cm,respectively.Comprehensive analysis indicated that the edible quality of amaranth and water spinach was best with adding carrageenan scraps 200g/pot,the content of nitrate nitrogen,vitamin C,soluble sugar was 497.78 ug/g,71.07mg/100g,5.83%in the amaranth and 242.20ug/g,62.36 mg/100g,5.53%in the water spinach,respectively.From the perspective of the vegetables yield,the yield of amaranth with adding carrageenan scraps 100g/pot was 106.52g/pot and it was the best proposal,the yield of water spinach with adding carrageenan scraps 200g/pot was 66.29g/pot and it was the best proposal.3.The effect of adding carrageenan scraps was obviously to the soil pH and enzyme activity and other physicochemical properties.The study showed that the value of soil pH with adding carrageenan scraps was higher,compared with controls(no carrageenan scraps applied).The bulk density of soil were declined by 0.08 to 0.15g/cm3,and the porosity were improved by 3.2 to 5.80,compared with controls,respectively.The enzyme activity with adding carrageenan scraps 200g/pot were best,the content of urease,acid phosphatase,sucrase and catalase activities were 0.468 mg/g.d,1.189 mg/g.d,1.440 mg/g.d and 0.369 mg/g.20min.After the vegetables been harvested,the content of the hydrolysable nitrogen,the available phosphorus and kalium was rich in the soil,it could provide sufficient nutrients for succeeding crops.4.The effect of adding the mixture of carrageenan scraps and pig manure was obviously to the quality and yield of the vagetables.The nitrate nitrogen content of amaranth and water spinach were declined by 15.24 to 77.97%and 7.77 to 66.33%,the vitamin C content improved by 21.90 to 56.65%and 10.04 to 36.37%,the Soluble sugar content improved by 0.19 to 0.93%and 0.36 to 0.57%,compared with controls(no pig manure and carrageenan scraps 100g/pot applied),respectively.Comprehensive analysis from the quality and yield of vagetables indicated that the best fertilization plan was applied carrageenan scraps 100g/pot and pig manure 50g/pot.5.After vegetables been harvested,the pH of the treatment by adding carrageenan scraps 100g/pot and pig manure 50g/pot was 6.48 and was the highest,the pH of soil were improved 40.87%and 39.35%,compared with original soil and controls.The content of urease,acid phosphatase,sucrase and catalase activities were better,and the content of the hydrolysable nitrogen,the available phosphorus and kalium was more rich compared with controls.It showed that when applied carrageenan scraps 100g/pot and pig manure 50g/pot,the physicochemical properties of soil was better.
