Analysis And Renewal Design Of The Spatial Form Of The Traditional Blocks In Chongzhou Yuantong Ancient Town

The traditional block is a residential area where the town has experienced long-term historical development and evolution,and is composed of traditional buildings and street spaces.After a long period of historical and cultural accumulation,it has produced a unique spatial sequence and regional culture.With the rapid advancement of China’s urban modernization,people’s material living standards have also been steadily improved,but the city’s rapid development process has ignored people’s pursuit of the spiritual level.Alienated the relationship between people.Traditional blocks are widely favored by people because of their rich spatial forms,unique living environment and profound cultural heritage.This article selects the Yuantong ancient town of Chongzhou,a well-preserved traditional block in the Sichuan Basin,as an example.Through field visits and surveys,the overview of the ancient town’s architecture is classified and described.From a macro perspective,it summarizes the street layout,river layout and surrounding layout forms and the linear,curvilinear,and riverside street features that constitute the traditional street blocks of Yuantong Ancient Town,and analyzes each layout form and street characteristics.From the perspective of microscopic view of Yuantong Ancient Town,through the analysis of spatial structure and spatial nodes,master the external space composition and morphological characteristics of traditional blocks.Taking Huang’s Former Residence,Luo’s Former Residence,Guangdong Guild Hall and other buildings as examples to analyze the spatial form of the building,the elements that constitute the architectural spatial form,such as courtyard space,roof treatment,bucket-type wooden frame and western Sichuan decorative style,are analyzed.Analyze the waterscape,riverside landscape and streetscape of traditional blocks,and extract the constituent elements of the landscape environment of Yuantong ancient town.Through the analysis of spatial characteristics,spatial forms and landscape environment,the traditional streets of Yuantong Ancient Town have different street characteristics,colorful streets and architectural space forms,and a natural and harmonious landscape environment.Based on the analysis,taking the half-street as an example,in order to solve the problems of serious building damage,chaotic style,and lack of planning in the block,the introduction of commercial buildings to enhance the vitality of the block,the layout of the block along the street is used to integrate the plan of the block,refer to the courtyard space The western Sichuan architectural elements such as the roof and the bucket-type wooden frame redesign the block buildings to create architectural spaces.Integrate the street facade with a unified decoration style to create a node space to transform the outer space of the block.By setting the backyard space along the river,the street greening improves the landscape environment of the block and updates the traditional design of the traditional block in the ancient town of Yuantong.
