| With the general improvement of society’s understanding of GIS(Geographic Information System)and the continuous development of universalized geographic information, the number of GIS projects continues to grow.GIS engineering projects have the general characteristics of software engineering, and also have the characteristics of high complexity and great uncertainty because of involved in map projection, spatial data model, application integration, etc. Therefore, the progress management of GIS projects is more difficult. This thesis analyzes the content of traditional project schedule management by consulting a large amount of literature materials, and combines the characteristics of GIS projects to find a more suitable schedule management method based on Critical Chains for GIS projects.Firstly, the research on the theory of project schedule management is carried out,and the advantages, disadvantages and scope of application of various project schedule management methods are compared and analyzed, and the key chain management theory is studied. Then through the analysis of the characteristics of GIS project and the influencing factors of project schedule management, the key chain project schedule management method is selected, and the GIS project schedule management model based on the key chain is constructed:(1)three-point estimation method is used to get the project duration and make the initial project schedule;(2)according to the logical relationship among the sub activities and considering the constraints of project resources, the process is adjusted reasonably, the revised project schedule is obtained, and the critical chain is determined;(3)create project uncertainty index system and set buffer zone;(4)using schedule control matrix to monitor the buffer zone to realize the effective control of schedule execution. Finally, the model is applied to XN GIS project, and the usability of the model is demonstrated through effect analysis. In this research,we hope to provide a method model for GIS project schedule management, improve the progress control level of GIS projects, optimize resource allocation, complete project tasks on time, and provide reference solutions for other enterprise GIS project schedule management. |
