Research On The Construction Transformation Of Shenyang Yamen Office During The New Deal Period Of The Late Qing Dynasty

After the boxer rebellion in 1900,the qing dynasty took the initiative to introduce western culture and political system for reform in order to continue its ruling status.Especially,the fact that the russo war ended in Japan’s victory made the qing rulers finally seriously consider adopting the constitutional regime.With the declaration of "imitation constitutionalism" in 1906,the New Deal reform movement led by the qing court reached its climax.While the whole country was preparing for the constitutional government,the northeast region ushered in the transformation from the military government system to the provincial system.In this complex New Deal period,the yamen buildings in shenyang began to gradually break away from the traditional form and gradually transform into the modern administrative office buildings.As the secondary capital of the qing dynasty,shenyang was the political,economic and cultural center of the three northeastern provinces and a typical city for the modernization of Chinese society.Because of its special political status and historical background,the transformation process of its yamen building is typical and representative.This paper intends to analyze and study the buildings of fengtian provincial government office by means of comparative study,taking all the processes that need to be considered in architectural design from site selection to plane layout to style and decoration as the main research route.Through the case study of fengtian provincial office building,this paper explores the transformation characteristics of shenyang yamen office building in the New Deal period,and tries to reunderstand the current value of fengtian provincial office,so as to provide scientific basis for its protection.The paper mainly discusses from the following aspects.First,in the aspect of historical evolution,the paper studies and summarizes the establishment,construction,use and evolution of the verified fengtian provincial office in the political,social and economic background of the late qing dynasty and the historical materials.Secondly,in the aspect of building site selection,by comparing the location of the traditional government offices in the qing dynasty with that of the new government offices in the New Deal period,the paper summarizes the characteristics of the distribution of the new government offices in shenyang in the process of the transformation of site selection,which is centered on the fengtian provincial office.Thirdly,in the aspect of plane layout,through the comparison and analysis of the new yamen building in shenyang in the New Deal period according to the construction time sequence,the author summarizes that the plane layout of the new yamen building in shenyang in the New Deal period has the characteristics of the transformation from courtyard to open.Fourth,in terms of architectural style and detail decoration,through the comparison and analysis of the style of the yamen built in the New Deal period of shenyang and the architectural style of foreign countries,the paper summarizes that the style and detail decoration of the yamen in the New Deal period of shenyang have the characteristics of "western style and Chinese style" in the transformation process.Finally,in terms of building technology and materials,through the comparison and analysis of the shenyang yamen office built in the New Deal period according to the construction time,the paper summarizes the characteristics of the New Deal period yamen office building in shenyang in the process of transformation,which is characterized by the rapid grasp and application of new structures and the application of new materials in decoration.
