On The Usage Of Shelf Fan In Ming And Qing Dynasty Form In Modern Building Decorate Art

This paper is focused on one of the most famous and widely-used traditional decoration, shelf fan in Ming and Qing Dynasty, and try to dig out the aesthetic and functional value and reuse them in today's building art .The use of wooden decoration is regarded as the essence of Chinese traditional art of decoration, and shelf fan is one of those kinds of popular traditional wooden components, which not only is functionally used to divide the limited space into different parts capable of various usages, but also provides with special artistic and decorative flavor.Accordingly, the author seeks to the innovation of the traditional element with the intention to combine the historic essence in modern building's decoration.
