Study On The Historical Geography Of Lunghua Airport(1916—1949)

This paper takes Longhua Airport as the research object,using the theory and method of historical geography,on the basis of restoring the detailed construction process of Longhua Airport,discusses the temporal and spatial characteristics of the historical evolution of Longhua Airport,so as to reflect the importance of Longhua Airport to the aviation industry of Shanghai port and even China,and to provide help for expanding and deepening the research of aviation history of China.This paper focuses on the following aspects :(1)Based on the description of the natural and humanistic geographical environment which around the location of Longhua Airport,this paper makes a detailed analysis of the background of the construction of Longhua Airport and the specific implementation process of subsequent expansion,and reveals the historical table from the case analysis of different interests entanglement between the expansion process of Longhua Airport and local farmers,national government,third parties(such as the United States and wartime Japan),So as to reveal the deep reason of historical appearance and the complexity of historical reality.(2)From the perspective of national aviation,this paper systematically discusses the domestic and international routes built with Longhua Airport as the core,so that the aircraft network of Longhua Airport can connect the whole country,even to the United States.The domestic and international routes of Longhua Airport not only promote the development of civil aviation of China,but also promote and outline the establishment of the new transportation system represented by Shanghai,which fully shows the outstanding position of Longhua Airport in the history of civil aviation.(3)From the perspective of Shanghai's urban space: in terms of transportation,Shanghai's urban road network with Longhua Airport as the starting point has gradually spread,and Longhua Airport is close to the Huangpu River.Convenient water transport advantages are conducive to the turnover of passengers and freight.The establishment of Longhua Airport has formed a three-dimensional pattern of water,land and air in Longhua and even Shanghai.From the perspective of urban space development,all the previous expansion and changes of Longhua Airport are related to land transfer,providing impetus for urban development and construction,and helping Shanghai Port develop into an international metropolis.
