With the rapid development of my country's economy,the construction of bridges is becoming more and more important,as the connecting component between the upper structure and the lower foundation,the bridge pier in the bridge structure not only plays the role of load transmission,but also is the main bearing component in the bridge structure.Its seismic performance plays an important role in the overall safety of the bridge.Compared with cast-in-place concrete bridge pier,prefabricated bridge pier has the advantages of saving labor cost and time,good quality control,environmental protection,recyclability,etc.if it can effectively guarantee the seismic performance of prefabricated bridge pier,it will greatly promote the rapid development of bridge structure.As a new design concept combining with assembly and rapid recovery after earthquake,self restoring piers have been widely studied.In this paper,under the background of self restoring piers' structural form,combined with the existing prestressed self restoring piers' theory and test results,under the scientific and reasonable reference and theory,in order to improve the self restoring performance of assembly self restoring piers and improve the self restoring cost of assembly self restoring piers Due to the poor energy consumption capacity of the body,a new type of rubber added concave convex socket assembly type self reset bridge pier connection is proposed.The design of this joint takes into account the self reset and energy consumption capacity of the bridge pier.First of all,the concept of self restoring pier is introduced,and each component and design mechanism are explained theoretically.This paper expounds the design idea of the new type of self reset pier,deduces the mechanical mechanism of the new type of self reset pier,and analyzes the mechanical balance under displacement loading.Based on the effectiveness of finite element modeling,the seismic analysis of traditional self-resetting piers and new self-resetting piers is performed.The research results show that the new self-resetting piers have a certain increase in bearing capacity and energy consumption compared to traditional self-resetting piers.The capacity becomes larger and the residual displacement becomes smaller,showing a good selfresetting ability;both of the stiffness degradation curves show a clear,continuous,and stable trend,and the stiffness of the new self-resetting bridge pier is slower;the strength degradation of both is not significant 10%,all in the better bearing capacity performance range.The new self-resetting bridge pier shows better seismic performance.The seismic analysis of two sets of parameters of the new self-resetting bridge piers with different rubber thicknesses and embedment depths is performed by finite element software.The results show that the change of the embedment depth has no effect on the energy consumption capacity,and the residual displacement is the smallest at the embedment depth of 100 mm.Changes in thickness and embedding depth have almost no effect on stiffness degradation,and the stiffness degradation curves are consistent;the strength degradation is in the better bearing capacity performance range.The new type of self-resetting bridge pier with a rubber thickness of 40 mm and an embedded depth of 100 mm shows the best energy dissipation capacity and residual displacement after the earthquake.This research has certain reference significance for the design of fabricated bridges.
