| With the rapid development of China’s social economy and the continuous breakthrough of modern technology,the transformation of transportation mode has gradually become an important factor for the great-leap-forward growth of regional economy.China’s high-speed railway with its own advantages of fast speed,high punctuality rate and strong security easily wins the favor of the people,creating new opportunities for the further development of regional economy.On June 29,2016,The Medium and Long-term Railway Network Plan adopted by the State Council set the grand goal of "high-speed railway will cover about 38,000 kilometers by 2025".It can be learned that full support for high-speed railway construction is also the key strategy to promote the overall and coordinated development of China’s regions.Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway,as the main part of Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu high-speed railway,which is one of the "four vertical and four horizontal" passenger dedicated lines,successfully connects the Chengdu-Chongqing economic belt.Unlike most of the current researches focused on qualitative solutions to the technical problems of high-speed railway in Eastern developed areas,quantitative analysis of the economic impact of its opening is of great significance for helping the rise of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone and implementing the national "western development" strategy.After reviewing domestic and foreign literature research on the impact of high-speed railway on regional economic development along the line,this paper expounds the basic concepts related to high-speed railway economy.Based on thetheories of transportation economy and regional economy,it qualitatively discusses the direct and indirect influence mechanism of high-speed railway on regional economic development along the line.According to the current state of China’s high-speed railway transportation and economic development,taking Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway as an example,this paper first introduces the basic situation of Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway construction and the regions along the line.And constructing the accessibility evaluation model by using weighted average travel time,the accessibility development level and change rate of each station before and after the opening of high-speed railway are calculated quantitatively.Finally,selecting appropriate relevant economic indicators from different perspectives,and building a difference-in-difference model with Stata15.1 software,this paper focuses on the economic growth effect,industrial structure change effect and employment situation effect of the regions along the line,and comprehensively compares the overall economic development degree and ranking of each region in 2017 through factor analysis with SPSS19.0 software.Using intuitive data to interpret the impact changes brought by the opening of Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway from the three aspects of the regional economy,industrial structure,and employment status,so as to objectively judge whether its economic impact on the regions along the line is significant and the impact is the same.The research results show that the opening of Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway greatly reduces the space-time interval along the line.By saving the weighted average travel time,the regional accessibility level can be effectively improved,and the one-hour traffic economic circle with Chengdu and Chongqing as the core can be constructed.However,the impact on each region is different,and the most obvious is that the accessibility change rate of Dazu is as high as 87.14%.The impact of Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway on the region along the line is studied from three perspectives of regional economy,industrial structure and employment status.The construction and successful operation of Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway is a double-edged sword.On the one hand,it improves the economic exchange conditions and environment between regions,accelerates the circulation of capital,labor,information,technology and other production factors by changing the way oftransportation along the line,and promotes the development of the tertiary industry,which is the main channel for employment,such as real estate and tourism,so as to promote the optimization and upgrading of regional industrial structure,significantly increase employment opportunities and regional economic.On the other hand,due to the different geographical location and actual conditions of each region,the degree of positive impact of Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway on the regional economy along the line varies,which may also lead to a larger spatial polarization effect of regional economy.At the same time,confined to the bottleneck period of high-speed railway technology and the increasing saturation of related markets,the positive impact of high-speed railway shows a certain time lag,and its rigid demand for labor factors gradually weakens,resulting in the decline of related employment in the later period.Finally,according to the above research conclusions,the corresponding policy suggestions are put forward from various perspectives of constructing high-speed railway transportation network system,strengthening regional cooperation in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic belt,vigorously developing high-speed railway related tertiary industry,and formulating talent introduction strategy,in order to provide decision-making reference for playing a more efficient role in promoting the regional economy along the line of Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway,and achieving the healthy and balanced social development of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone in the era of high-speed railway. |
