The current traffic problems in China are more serious,especially the problems of traffic caused by unreasonable traffic organization.As the "node" of urban communication,the intersection of urban roads is also the "bottleneck" of urban traffic road network.The normal operation of plane intersections is directly related to the efficiency and safety of urban traffic.Therefore,traffic organization management at intersections is crucial for improving urban traffic conditions,improving road traffic capacity,and reducing road traffic accidents.The prohibition of left~turning measures is a common traffic organization method in the organization management measures of plane intersections.It has a significant role in reducing the number of conflict points at plane intersections,reducing traffic delays,alleviating the accident rate at intersections,and improving the speed of intersections.This article takes urban road level intersections as the research object.First,from the characteristics of traffic flow at level intersections,the related basic theories of prohibiting left~turn measures are described.Then,the basic idea,use steps,and optimization of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method are introduced.Disadvantages,apply this method to left~turn prohibition measures,build a model of left~turn prohibition evaluation system based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method;finally,take the intersection of “Aiguo North Road~South Square Road” in Hami City as a case to prohibit left~turn Benefit analysis before and after the measures.After the implementation of the left~turn prohibition measure,the efficiency indicators and vehicle speeds have increased to a certain extent;the delay index,intersection saturation,conflict density,and potential danger levels have all decreased to a certain extent,indicating that the intersection has been improved after the implementation of the left~turn prohibition measure;Before the implementation of the left~turn prohibition measure,the overall benefit level of the intersection was in a C~level state,but after the implementation of this measure,there has been a significant improvement,and the intersection benefit level is in a B~level state.The case shows that after the implementation of the left~turn prohibition measure,various indicators at the existing intersections have changed to a certain extent and the overall effect is good.The implementation of the left~turn prohibition measure according to the method in this article can be accepted by the road management department.
