Roller compacted concrete(RCC)dam construction technique appeared in the 1970 s.It is a kind of concrete dam construction technology,simila r like earth-rock dam paving method,using dry and hard concrete,by strong vibration roller to compact.Compared with concrete dam columnar pouring method,this technology has the advantages of saving cement,convenient construction and low cost.By the end of the 20 th century,about 209 RCC dams have been built in the world,including 43 in China,36 in Japan and 29 in the United States.At the beginning of the 21 st century,Longtan RCC gravity dam in China started the construction,which is the first 200-meter class RCC dam in the world,with the highest dam and maximum concrete volum of 5.8 million cubic meters(including 3.85 million cubic meters of RCC).Project design,construction and management were developed by exploration and practice,also the construction schedule management of project.The construction process of super-large hydropower project usually spans about 10 years,and its overall schedule planning requires rolling planning method,and dynamic management,in which the long term plan is rough and the short term plan is detailed.The main methods of making progress plans for domestic mega-hydropower projects are bar chart and network planning technology.P3(Primavera Project Planner)is a professional schedule software that fused the netw ork planning technologies such as CPM(Critical Path Method)and PERT(Program Evolution and Review Technique).According to the planning and control needs of overall progress plan and decomposition plan at each level,the WBS(Work Breakdown Structure)of th e main project of civil engineering and metal structure installation of Longtan RCC gravity dam can be decomposed in sequence into the main project,unit project,branch project and unit project.The preparation of the overall schedule of Longtan RCC grav ity dam project is roughly divided into four steps,to form the P3 network chart of overall schedule of project.According to the need of the overall schedule control of each bid section of Longtan RCC gravity dam project,the contractor has established a strict overall schedule control system.According to the time schedule,the system is decomposed into the annual,quarterly and monthly plan.According to the project,the system is decomposed into single schedule and special schedule.Dynamic management is carried out according to the rolling plan method,and finally the overall schedule control system is implemented by weekly control plan.This paper makes a theoretical analysis of the practical and exploratory work that is formed gradually and proved effective during the 7 years construction progress management of Longtan RCC gravity dam project by the contractor.(1)Make good use of P3 network planning technology,bar chart technology,CAD technology,and GIS visualization dynamic simulation technology according to different purposes and objects.(2)The innovation of construction technology scheme and construction management has achieved the effects of optimizing the logical relationship of network plan,shortening the critical operation time of key ro utes,and keeping continuous and efficient operation on site.(3)The material basis to make the overall progress management under control is adequate amount of construction resources,such as people,equipment and materials,by using market-oriented operation through internal simulation to achieve efficient allocation.(4)The project organization is reconstructed in stages,to meet the needs of the dynamic change of progress management focus in the early stage,peak stage and the final stage of the project.The reason why project management with Chinese characteristics can build large-scale hydropower projects in China is that it has both inheritance and innovation.It not only boldly introduces and refers foreign excellent management methods and concepts,using advanced network planning technology platform and market allocation mechanism of resources,but also makes full use of the centralized resources of China's central enterprises to do one project,giving full play to the institutional advantages of group operations.
