With the development and progress of Chinese economy and the advancement of construction technology,a large number of out-of-code high-rise buildings with diverse functions and unique shapes have been built. This increases the landscape of the city on the one hand,On the other hand, the constantly breakthrough in height also makes new challenges to the structural design, especially the seismic design. It also makes the analysis and the design of high-rise building structures more complex and creates more daunting tasks for designers. Therefore,it is important to make transfinite analysis and evalute the seismic performance, safety and reliability of the out-of-code high-rise buildings by analyzing its own characteristics. This paper introduces the development and design features of high-rise building with an out-of-code high-rise buildings of 209.18 m height in Hangzhou area as the engineering background. It summarizes the research and application status of performance-based seismic design theory and method at home and abroad,as well as the performance target of performance-based seismic design. This paper introduces the general situation, structural design characteristics, structural system and structural layout of hangzhou T2 tower structure. And it judges the out-of-code type and level of this project and gives specific seismic measures. In view of the out-of-code type situation structure, the aseismic performance target of the structure is determined by considering the aseismic fortification type, fortification intensity and site conditions.Using SATWE and MIDAS Building software to analyze the T2 tower structure by means of mode decomposition response spectrum and studying the dynamic characteristics, structural stress and deformation of the structure.Selecting 7 seismic waves and useing SATWE software to carry out the elastic time-history analysis of the structure under frequent earthquake and compared with the results of the elastic response spectrum method.Using EPDA&PUSH Static to carry out elastoplastic analysis and dynamic elastoplastic time history analysis of T2 tower structure to study the seismic response of the structure under large earthquakes, including base shear force, floor shear force and displacement response, and discussing the seismic performance and collapse resistance under the action of large earthquake. The results show that the indexes of the T2 tower structure do not exceed the code's limits, and the seismic performance meets the requirements. In the 6-degree seismic fortification zone,it is necessary to pay more attention to the seismic concept design in the structural design of the out-of-code high-rise,and comprehensively grasp the seismic performance of the structure and strengthen the seismic construction measures.
