The Regional Identity And Relationship Network Of Subei Decoration Workers In Shanghai

Today,rural poverty is no longer the main driving force for migrant workers to leave their hometown.The great development of the countryside provides a lot of employment opportunities for farmers.Migrant workers are faced with two choices,one is to return to a comfortable and more connected hometown for employment,the other is to stay in a place where they have no fixed place and have to rely on their own efforts.This paper takes the Subei decoration workers in Shanghai as the main research object.Through the Anthropological Observation of the daily life and work scene of the Subei decoration workers,we can define the group of decoration workers in Shanghai and understand how the dynamic interaction between their hometown and Shanghai helps them to adapt to this kind of life.This paper is divided five parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly explains the research origin,literature review and research methods.The second chapter introduces the composition of the group of decoration workers in Shanghai from two aspects: the definition of the group and the reasons of choosing jobs.The third chapter studies the concept of regional identity of the fitters in Shanghai from two aspects: the identification of their hometown and the adaptation in Shanghai,so as to find out the reasons for the formation of the working and living conditions of the fitters in Shanghai.The fourth chapter focuses on how to maintain the relationship with relatives and friends,help them to complete their career development and adapt to the life style of their hometown and Shanghai.The fifth chapter is to reflect and summarize the current situation of this group's life and career development,the significance of regional identity and relationship network for their career development,as well as the significance and goal of mobile life.
