With the implementation of global climate change measures and the importance of environmental protection in various countries, the proportion of traditional fossil energy sources such as coal and petroleum is gradually decreasing in the energy structure, and the proportion of clean energy such as wind energy, solar energy and water energy will gradually increase. And with the transformation of the energy structure, the share of oil, natural gas and coal trade in energy trade will also decline, and the importance of electricity trade in energy trade will increase. At present, with the vigorous promotion of international organizations and relevant national governments,cross-border power trade is developing rapidly around the world. However, there are few researches on the influencing factors of cross-border power trade development. The existing researches are mainly based on theoretical analysis, and there is no empirical research. On the basis of summarizing and summarizing the existing domestic and foreign related literature, and combining the current development status of cross-border power trade among countries along the “Belt and Road”.The author selects the total amount of cross-border power trade imports and exports to China from 19 countries and regions along the “Belt and Road” in the past 8 years as the dependent variable. As well as the economic development status of the countries in the same year(represented by GDP),the total domestic electricity consumption, the total domestic power generation, the relative distance between the two countries and the urbanization ratio as independent variables.By constructing an extended gravity model, the author obtaining the following conclusions: the economic development status, power supply and urbanization of trading partner countries have positive for cross-border power trade levels. The increase in the relative spatial distance between the two sides has a very significant restrictive effect on cross-border power trade. Finally, based on the results of empirical analysis, the author mainly proposes the development of cross-border power trade in China from a macro perspective.
