Research On City Square Landscape Design Based On Soundscape

The concept of Soundscape put forward by the Canadian musician Murray Schafer promoted the connection and development between landscape science and acoustics,which has made the landscape architects rethink and interpret the meaning of landscape design.Soundscape is a new branch of science which combines the "sound" with the "landscape",it is the product of urban development.The idea of integrating the concept of Soundscape into the landscape design of urban squares contributes to enrich the sensory experience of the landscape design of squares in the way of combining the visual effect with auditory perception,and provide people with a more complete and three-dimensional acoustic environment of urban square.This paper firstly takes the landscape of city squares as the study object to points out the specific problems existing in the landscape design of city squares and the lack of sensory experience from the aspect of the concept of Soundscape;Secondly,it analyzes the reasons for the rise of Soundscape in square landscape design,sorts out the basic situation and vein of the development of Soundscape at home and abroad,and explores the characteristics of sound elements and the classification of its elements in Soundscape design.Thirdly,it probes into the basic principles of urban square landscape design under the concept of Soundscape on the basis of the relevant theoretical concepts,which include the principle of care,the principle of uniqueness and the principle of integrity;Finally,it puts forward a brand new design strategy of urban square landscape design according to the basic principles of the design from the four perspectives of the design language,sensory experience,design mode and aesthetic conception in combination with the specific case analysis.This paper aims to improve the spatial perception effect and spatial perception quality of urban square so as to provide a theoretical basis for the future development of urban square landscape design in the way of broadening the design thinking by adding the concept of Soundscape in the urban square landscape design.
