Research On Interaction Landscape Design From The Perspective Of Environment Behaviorism

The rapid development of social economy and culture lead to a rapid urbanization. As a result, people begin to take a new look at the environment that we live on and develop diversified demands and profound thinking, which means people are paying more attention to surrounding environments. That is why the importance of landscape designing is continuously stressed. However, besides the bloom, there are also more doubts around landscape designing. Under the superficial blooming of landscape design, there are lots of "cold" works, lacking of humanistic concerns, which attach great importance to visual and thematic expressions then lose the interactive relationship between landscape and people. So a more "people oriented" landscape design emerges at the right moment, which is interactive landscape design. This new kind of design emphasizes interactions between landscape and people as well as the sensory stimulus that landscape can bring to people, advocating harmonious people-to -people and people-to-nature coexistences amid the landscape. Also it stresses the humanizing and sustainable concept of landscape designing, probing into possibilities to develop future landscape design from the perspectives of new materials and new technologies.Considering interactive design of classical Chinese gardens, this article does a research on interactions of artistic conceptions, sound and activities amid classical Chinese gardens. Classical Chinese gardens have certain values for researching interactive landscape. Through researches on human behavior amid interactive landscape from the perspective of environment-behavior studies, the article works out principles of interactive landscape designing and studies multiple measures for interactive landscape design from perspectives of environment-aware time-space interaction, environment-awareness perceptual interaction and high-level interaction of landscape language. Through cross contrasts of relevant foreign cases, the article works out referential interactive landscape designing points. This article also researches respectively practical cases of using sonic, photic, electric and interactive landscapes, discussing positive roles that new materials and new technologies play in interactive landscape designing. With the help of analysis of interactive landscape designing through practical cases accumulated during the writer’s graduate period, the article proves that landscape designs are not only decorations to the city or objects purely for appreciation, but environmental landscapes that can meet life and psychological needs of people, enable people to experience by their own, and then have interactions.The theoretical and practical meanings of this article are to make up vacancies of interactive landscape designing researches based on environment-behavior studies to summarize basic concepts and principles of interactive landscape designing and to testify the actionability of interactive landscape design. And a bold speculation is made that interactive landscape design may be one of the developing trends in future landscape designing with great academic and practical values.
