The Impact Of Energy Industry Development On Economic Growth Of Jilin Province

The development of the energy industry has always been seen as an important engine of economic growth.Jilin Province has rich energy reserves and the potential for new and renewable energy development.With the development of the huge reserves of shale gas resources,it is foreseeable that the energy industry will become the next important economic growth point of Jilin Province,and Jilin Province's economic revitalization will also gain new impetus from this.Based on this background,this article selects Jilin Province as a research sample to analyze the impact of the energy industry on economic growth.The main research of this article is mainly divided into the following four parts:The first part is the theory and literature review.This part is the basis of this study.In the theory section,this part introduces the economic growth theory,spillover effect theory,resource curse theory,etc.Based on the relevant theories,the theoretical framework of this research is established to clarify the mode of how industrial development influence economic growth.In the literature review section,the author read and combed the relevant literature,and systematically classified it from three aspects: "Research on Energy Industry Development","Research on Economic Growth Theory" and "Relationship between Energy Industry Development and Economic Growth".The second part is an overview of the energy industry development and economic operation of Jilin Province.This section uses a qualitative analysis method to analyze the two core elements involved in this study.In the analysis of the energy industry,this section tries to analyze the specific development of the energy industry in Jilin Province in some different aspects.Through the analysis of data,it is found that the development level of energy industry of Jilin Province is still low although it is transforming from an energy-short province to a “potential” energy-rich province.In the analysis of Jilin Province's economic growth,the study found that Jilin Province's economic growth inevitably entered a low-speed growth situation due to the unscientific industrial structure.The third part is an empirical study of the impact of Jilin Province's energy industry development on economic growth which is the core of the research.In this part,based on the second part of the qualitative analysis,it can be verified that the development of the energy industry has a significant impact on the economic growth of Jilin Province by establishing a C-D production function model;and then,this thesis tries to explore the path of the impact of the development of the energy industry on economic growth by establishing a Fide model.The result shows the development Jilin's energy industry has a negative spillover effect on non-energy industries.The fourth part is conclusions and recommendations.Based on the qualitative analysis in the second part and the quantitative analysis in the third part,the research draws the conclusion of this study,and try to give some advices which based on these conclusions.
