Research On Parametric Design Tool Oriented To Chinese Traditional Elements

Derived from computer-aided design,parametric design has been widely used in many fields including architectural design,decorative design and installation art design.Many designers and researchers have done systematic research on parametric design methods and summed up a large number of excellent graphic algorithms,but at present there is no mature parametric modeling tool that can systematically summarize specific design styles.At present,the design of most products depends on the subjective aesthetic demands and repeated modifications of designers,and such traditional design methods will vary depending on individual design ideas.If there is a parametric design tool that can be based on specific style elements,it can produce certain guidelines and constraints on this style design method.This can not only improve efficiency,but also help novice designers to design works with high degree of completion and distinctive style.Based on the background of the times,this study takes Chinese traditional elements as object,and summarizes and analyzes these elements.Combined with the existing relevant algorithms,a parametric modeling tool oriented to Chinese traditional element is designed.This tool supports rapid stylized editing and shaping of models,and has good data connection for 3D printing.This paper systematically puts forward the design ideas and methods of the tool,and shows the complete process of using the tool.The author tested the tool in three dimensions to ensure its application scope.At the practical level of tools,this study developed three parametric design products.In addition,this study also carried out systematic user testing experiments of tools.The experimental results show that the tools developed in this study have ideal usability and ease of use.In conclusion,this study systematically summarizes the parametric design methods of Chinese traditional elements and develops relevant design tools.This tool has a further development for CAD,and has a certain theoretical value and practical significance for the design industry.In addition,the research on the development of this tool also has a strong value.As a parametric design object,Chinese traditional elements have rich advantages.Therefore,further exploration based on this research will help to develop a parametric design tool library based on Chinese traditional style elements,which will further facilitate the design of designers and have a more positive impact on the worldwide spread of Chinese traditional elements.
