Air traffic controllers are the key personnel and scarce employees affecting the development of civil aviation,and the team of air traffic controllers is the core force to ensure the safe transportation.For the civil aviation industry,safety is the first benefit.The quantity and quality of air traffic controllers determine the ability of guarantee in civil transportation.The punctuality rate of aircraft also has an important impact on company profit.It is the key factor for the safe,efficient and harmonious development of civil aviation.Therefore,we must attach importance to air traffic controllers' job satisfaction.In this paper,the author treats air traffic controllers as a special group as the research object,to investigate the status of their job satisfaction.With the help of literature research,questionnaires and interviews under the guidance of the relevant theories of employee job satisfaction,and combining with the actual situation of Civil Aviation Administration,this research designs a questionnaire especially for the air controllers.The questionnaire is divided into five dimensions: the job character,the job returns,work environment,work groups and the enterprise as a whole.The author adopts SPSS17.0 software and EXCEL to process and analyze the data.100 questionnaires were sent and 97 valid questionnaires were collected.The paper also combines the influence of demographic variables on job satisfaction,which in order to analyze the status quo of controllers' job satisfaction and the reasons for their low job satisfaction.Under the background of reformation of civil aviation air traffic controllers' salary,this paper takes the lead in investigating the job satisfaction of air traffic controller.The research finds out 6 main reasons for the low controllers' job satisfaction and puts forward suggestions to improve the job satisfaction of controllers from the organizational and individual levels respectively.What' more,the paper puts forwards safeguard measures from 3 aspects,they are policy measure,funds measure and psychology tracking mechanism.All the suggestions and measure are aimed to further stabilize the team of controllers and enhance the cohesion and centripetal force,hoping that it may be helpful for the A Air Traffic Management Sub-bureau in maintaining a safety record in the future work.
