As a historic city,Xi'an has plenty of conservation details in its scope of conservation.Although the historic district and traditional residential courtyards are somehow being included in the conservation system,there is no specific conserve procedure being taken and they are still declining.Dongmutoushi Area and No.45 Guangmingxiang are both typical traditional residences in Xi'an facing extinction which has been studied by our studio for more than ten years.Now,the Dongmutoushi Area is a traditional residential area that will be completely demolished because of the construction of the new museum of the Beilin Museum.If not being rescued,it will face complete demise.Similarly,No.45 Guangmingxiang traditional residential courtyards is facing a complete demise due to the high age of its household and the serious damage of the building itself.This thesis mainly carries out meticulous rescue records of these two research objects through physical space measurements,social life survey and living condition recording.Then combined with the requirements of the construction of the new museum of the Beilin Museum,proposed the conservation suggestions for the Dongmutoushi area.Based on the investigation and investigation,evaluated the status quo of the traditional residential courtyards of No.45 Guangmingxiang,restored the original situation of No.45 Guangmingxiang and proposed a remediation strategy for its existing building.The conservation of traditional residential courtyards requires a process of continuous improvement.With the continuous development of the society and people's attention to this issue,put forward relevant policies and regulations in time and protect traditional dwellings effectively.As a long-term project,it requires the participation of the society,the government,and the residents of the courtyards.It also requires the unremitting efforts of scientific researchers.Based on my own research level and academic ability,1 has made some reflections on the status quo of traditional dwellings in Xi'an historic city in order to provide more possibilities for related research work.
