The rapid growth of domestic and international economy promotes the growth of global energy demand.Meanwhile,primary energy sources,mainly as oil,coal and natural gas,are non-renewable sources of energy,and are gradually exhausted;hydropower,wind,solar and other renewable resources are faced with great difficulty in development,affected by weather,geographical environment and other issues;for a long time,China’s main energy is coal,causing great environmental pollution.To sum up,vigorously developing nuclear energy solves both energy and environmental pollution problems,thus killing two birds with one stone.Nuclear power plant is the main carrier of nuclear energy and the facility that converts nuclear energy into electricity.The operation of nuclear power plants requires a large number of nuclear-grade power equipment,however,considering the particularity of nuclear power,these devices must be highly reliable,so the requirements of safety level and manufacturing accuracy are very high.Due to the great difficulty in design and manufacture,nuclear power equipment has long been monopolized by several advanced foreign enterprises.In this paper,according to the requirements of a special task contract,the design,manufacture,test and other technical research of main feedwater pump in conventional island are described.1、Hydraulic design and calculation: according to the requirements of the technical specification,determine the structural form,reasonably allocate the head,and design the hydraulic model in accordance with the requirements.The hydraulic model was optimized through CFD numerical simulation and analysis,and finally the hydraulic model was verified through 1:1 model pump test.2、Overall structural design: carry out overall structural design combined with the system requirements of the main feedwater pump.Introduce the influence of processing such as manufacturing and assembling on quality of products.Finally,check the security of main parts to meet the requirements of technical specification through structural integrity analysis.3、Experimental study: The results of the study are furtherly verified to completely match the requirements of the technical specification through the various experimental analysis for the main feedwater pump such as performance and cavitation test,vibration and noise test,cold-heat shock test,etc.
