The development of road traffic has put forward higher quality requirements for the construction of asphalt pavement,and compaction plays a vital role in the quality of asphalt pavement in road construction,which is also a research hotspot of road workers.The numerical simulation method is an important tool to study the compaction of asphalt pavement.In this paper,the vibration compaction of steel wheels and the rubbing compaction of rubber wheels on asphalt pavement are also simulated based on discrete element method.Firstly,the micro-model of asphalt mixture is established,and the rolling friction coefficient,surface energy and recovery coefficient in DEM software are calibrated by the combination of indoor experiment and virtual experiment.Then,this paper simulates the compaction process of asphalt pavement,establishes the vibration compaction model of asphalt pavement,and uses the method of coupling dynamic software and discrete element software to carry out numerical simulation,which is easy to operate and improves the calculation efficiency.In this paper,the simulation results of vibration compaction are analyzed from the aspects of spatial movement,internal contact change and internal energy change of asphalt mixture particles.The results show that the spatial position of particles in the upper part of the particle field varies sharply,and the position of particles in the lower part is relatively stable.At the same time,under the action of steel wheel,the tangential contact of particles presents a "circular" eddy and the potential of particles increases.There is a law that the kinetic energy increases first and then decreases with the gradual increase of energy.Ultimately,the granular domain presents a stable state.The effects of rolling speed,exciting force,vibration frequency and mixture temperature on vibration compaction are also studied according to the maximum average compressive force of particles in the unit.Finally,a numerical simulation method for rubbing compaction of asphalt pavement rubber wheel roller is proposed,which simplifies the tire layout of rubber wheel roller.The horizontal force state of particles in the process of rubbing compaction is mainly analyzed.From the position change of surface particles and the force situation,it is found that the horizontal displacement of particles in the wheel track belt is not obvious,and the horizontal displacement of particles at the wheel interval is not obvious.It is more obvious.The influence of rolling speed,tonnage and rolling times on rubbing compaction is also studied according to the change of compaction degree,and the recommended operating parameters are given,which has certain guiding significance for construction.
