With the continuous advancement of China's urbanization process and the gradual improvement of people's living standards, the energy consumption of households has become an important part of China's energy consumption. Therefore, this paper uses the spatial econometric model to analyze the influencing factors of China's provincial household energy consumption, and proposes corresponding recommendations based on the research conclusions.Firstly, this paper uses the CFPS micro survey data to measure household energy consumption. The household energy consumption studied in this paper includes two aspects, including household direct energy consumption and household indirect energy consumption.Household indirect energy consumption refers to the energy consumption caused by the production, processing, transportation, sales and disposal of goods and services in order to meet the daily production and life needs of households.Secondly, this paper analyzes the evolution and spatial difference of Chinese household energy consumption on the two levels of time and space. In terms of time dimension, this paper compares and analyzes the differences in household energy consumption of all households and urban and rural households during the period from 2010 to 2016.Research shows that China's household energy consumption is increasing year by year from 2010 to 2016,and there is an “unequal effect” on urban and rural household energy consumption; In terms of spatial dimension, this paper also divides all households and different households in urban and rural areas to compare and analyze the spatial differences of energy consumption in different provinces in China. The study found that,in general, the total energy consumption per household in China shows a pattern of high in the north and low in the south. The provinces with high household energy consumption are mainly in some provinces in northern China and in the eastern and southern coastal areas.Thirdly, this paper uses spatial econometric model to analyze the factors affecting China's provincial household energy consumption, including spatial cross-section regression and spatial panel regression.First,a spatial weight matrix based on the proximity features of geospatial is constructed. Then the spatial autocorrelation test is carried out and the Moran' s I statistic is calculated at the same time, the results show that the household energy consumption data of each year shows a significant spatial correlation;Using the LM test, the spatial autoregressive model is most suitable for spatial cross-section regression. The model results show that the household net income, urbanization rate, family size and other variables have a significant positive impact on household energy consumption, and the urbanization rate variable has the greatest impact. In the regression part of the space panel, the spatial Dubin model with fixed effect is better based on model comparison and Hausman test. The results of the model show that the three variables of household net income, urbanization rate and household car ownership have significant positive effects. The average annual education years of the family and the average winter temperature have a negative impact on the overall energy consumption of Chinese provincial households. Finally, the paper gives corresponding policy recommendations based on the above research results.
