Cutting pattern is an important process of membrane structure designing that it determines shape and stress distribution of the actual structure.Due to 3D surface of membrane structure is undevelopable,the actual structure must be different from the design structure.This will lead the load analysis which is based on the form finding become inaccurately.In this paper,a method of construction simulation was proposed to solve the actual equilibrium state of membrane structure.Based on the construction simulation,a method of cutting patterns optimization was proposed.By optimize cutting pattern with the equilibrium state,the method can ensure to get the optimal cutting pattern which shape and stress distribution of the actual structure is closest to the design structure.A method called “synergetic analysis method for form finding and cutting pattern” was proposed.The method can reduce the stress and shape difference between the actual structure and the design structure effectively.So that the load analysis which based on the form finding can be more accurate.A “Chinese-hat” tensioned membrane structure model and a hemispherical inflatable membrane structure model were selected for numerical analysis.The results of numerical analysis showed that the method of cutting pattern optimization has higher accuracy than existing research.The synergetic analysis method has good convergence property and convergence efficiency.After synergetic analysis,the stress and shape difference between actual structure and design structure became very small.
